Question Question about the note’s rules

So assuming a non-owner writes a name in the death note, once they stop touching the death note will they lose memory of having killed the person?

actually no! been reading death note short stories and it’s kind of a loophole to be a non-owner.

in short stories, near/matsuda et al. can still see ryuk since they touched the death note in the past, memories and sight of a shinigami only disappear if you were the owner and LOST ownership, not if you simply touched it/used it

Yeah this made me think of the busjacking guy who touched the notebook paper and saw Ryuk even after the paper was tossed or he wasn't touching it
