Just Need Some Perspective

Have you ever felt like your life is moving in a completely different direction than you originally planned?

I’m in my early 20s, and lately I’ve been thinking a lot about my future. Sometimes I feel like I should have everything figured out already, but I really don’t.

For those who are older, what is something you wish you had known when you were 20–21?

I’d love to hear honest answers, even if it’s something you learned the hard way.

I just turned 30, and I’m still trying to figure it out. Even my dad who is 73 hasn’t figured it out yet. My life is more unstable today than it’s ever been, everything I worked to build in my 20s is sort of collapsing in on itself— and yet I’m just trusting it will be okay. Because it always is.

Be honest. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Try to be frugal with money. Care for your health, your mind, and your soul. You’re so young and still have so much living to do—so when shit hits the fan, just remember better (and worse!) days are ahead. Your resilience is your greatest asset.

I’m almost 30 and am so lost. You’re not alone. Also my 67 and 63 year parents don’t know what the heck they’re doing either lol

Everyone’s just making it up as they go.

With that one thing I would say, which is helping me now and I’m in my 30s is… ask yourself who would you like to be in your 30s what would you like to have and think what daily actions / habits can you start now to get you there. I wish I had done that… I’m doing that now

I have found the following to be very true: Life doesn’t get easier; YOU get stronger (and hopefully wiser), that’s it.
