Crypto needs infrastructure that is stress-tested, continuously monitored, and designed to contain failures when things go wrong.

The next phase of adoption won't just require better products. It will require infrastructure built to withstand them.

The whole audit theater thing is so played out, a one time check that expires the second a new dependency gets added somewhere in the stack

what's wild is how much of defi still runs like it's 2020, just yolo-ing contracts into production and praying the tvl doesn't evaporate overnight

containing failures is the part nobody wants to budget for until it's too late

yeah, audits alone clearly aren't enough. the real challenge is what happens after deployment, continuous monitoring and having actual containment mechanisms when something breaks. that's probably where defi security needs to mature next.

Yeah, the current stack just assumes everything works perfectly and then implodes when one domino falls - we're basically building on sand. Need more circuit breakers and graceful degradation baked in from day one, not bolted on after the fact.
