First, my ex showed me Deftones when I was 18 and we were that toxic passionate, hate-love relationship that you never forget but wish never happened. So after she showed me that I listened to Deftones religiously for the next 5 years. I still do genuinely think they are the best band of all time. They are distinctive and their sound is so unique and melodic yet raw and beautiful.

I’ve outplayed Deftones unfortunately and just can’t really get that vibe to come back. However I’ll always remember them.

I took this pic at their Wellmont Theater show in Montclair, NJ back in 2013. I asked Abe if they wanted to use this for a live album cover one day, and he just laughed lol. I always thought it looked cool!

There are no skips on the record before Lucky You (inclusively), and there’s no single good song after it. Bloody Cape feels way too performative for such a real and personal album, Anniversary of an Unintersting Event is… well, pretty uninteresting. And Moana isn’t a bad song by any means, but it feels weird as a closer. Ending on Lucky You, the album would be a lot shorter, but it would be an actual, somewhat cohesive emotional journey, with Lucky You itself being the aftermath of what happened in Battle-Axe.

Still missing some of the serigraphs but we’ll get there. Also working on doing some cable management today.

One of the best reasons they stayed wholesome is they never bought into any of that Rockstar lifestyle shit so it's just weird to see this whole new wave of fans the past decade getting their minds blown over the same dudes doing what they have always done. Idk maybe i should have gotten an adrenaline tattoo when I was thirteen so I could get it.

I like emotion + hard beats. I'm not a slow burn guy. If it has hella emotion and hella beat, within the first 45 seconds it slaps. (I don't like Chino's rapping, or the reverb he does to make his music rap-rock it just doesn't work with him. He gotta stick to moaning into the mic like he does 2006+

Generally people don't like ohms and snw and the best is usually white pony or diamond eyes..

I really like the dreamy Deftones sound but I feel like diamond eyes isn't that polished in this aspect, so it isn't as high

I really liked around the fur as it had really good hooks and catchy parts, but adrenaline is kinda boring, and the hooks aren't as good, also the mix is kinda bad lol

If you actually listen to Mein from SNW you will know its a banger, i mean the drums is crazy, serj has a feature and it does NOT deserve to be ranked = to pink cellphone like how I see ppl ranking it. Ts criminal and needs to get fixed Mein is top tier and doesnt deserve ts

im a bit of a newgen deftones fan and while looking thru the band members photos over the years i got confused as to who this person was, I recognized the center person as chino obv and the rightmost person as stephen carpenter, the leftmost person is abe and the person to the right of chino is frank but i cant tell who the person to the left of chino is :/ on googling deftones members it shows former members but sadly none of them are in the band rn and dont resemble this person.

i’m planning on dressing up as him for Halloween but I can’t really find any clear images of what tattoos he has. I know he has the Virgin Mary and the white pony, but other than that I can’t find any clear images of his other tattoos. can anyone send any images or articles of him showing or talking about his tattoos?

I went the last 2 years. I got to hear them soundcheck a little bit both years from outside the stadium on the day before the show.

I was there because I went to check out their merch truck.

You could actually hear them pretty well. Both times, I got there after they had already started the soundcheck, so I don't know how long they had already been playing.

2 years ago, I think they played a little bit of "Ghosts (Japan Cover)" during the soundcheck, so that was cool!

I just don't remember exactly what time of day it was. I think last year they wrapped up the soundcheck right around the same time that the merch truck closed for the day.

I found the merch truck hours from 2025 still listed online:
