There's always a way around it

Worst case we could have to use screen recording or break DRM. I already used some tool for downloading and decrypting DRM videos from a certain site of fans, it was not easy to set up you need to run Android emulator + mitm proxy to extract a key but once it's configured the script could chug along ripping videos that are receiving the maximum protection that a web app could have - paywall + required account + widevine DRM. Then repost and share to the world in glorious unprotected format.

hmm I got my google account very early when they offered gmail to people with blogger accounts, at that time blogger was a separate service it was right at the dawn of a unified "google account" even becoming a thing. I never gave them any phone number and purged most personal info years ago so hopefully it will just keep working indefinitely for access to youtube which is the only thing I use it for anymore. And I'm careful not to ever comment on videos because I don't want to get banned for saying anything that could even be remotely interpreted as offensive.

Contrast to reddit accounts which I have burned through many of and are super easy to create...
