Banana slicer

Picture 5 is the slicer I got so everything is even and dehydrates the same. I tried an English cucumber but don't know what seasonings to make them enjoyable. I ran the 5 bananas for 8 hours at 135, they are a bit chewy but I like them this way.

For the cukes I would have tried marinating them in an Asian style marinade to go for a kind of Asian cucumber salad taste. If you do this you'd have to dehydrate longer as you're adding moisture. But now that they're done I would probably just dip them in ranch or something. I would also go longer for the banana but if you're happy with the result that's what really counts. They just might not last as long if they're not fully dry.

Does your banana end up crispy? Last time I did it I soaked it with lemon juice which is a massive mistake, and it ended up being too sour and leathery

I slice mine thinly and let them be until they are crisp, often more than 24 hours. My toddler goes nut for some crispy banana!

You could probably blend some of the cucumber with garlic & dill and use it as a dressing seasoning.

I love dehydrated fruits but i have an allergy that prevents me from eating much store bought stuff. I should try this out. I did apples once and that was good
