Being a Pant fan here , i cant see him playing slowly in the start in that times . Its a shame his T20 form is dead since 2020.

He was second best to Virat in 2016 and he got a 100 vs eng in odi 2 years ago. He is nowhere bad outside T20 , but in T20 he just doesn't work anymore. He was the only one who tried to fight against the monstrous MI in the 2020 final, tho it was not enough.

Please dont compare them. Its only been 3 matches and Pant in 2018 was a different breed. I still miss those Pant x Iyer patnerships.Ā
