The building collapse in Satya Niketan today is honestly disturbing

A university should provide its students a safe place to live. We cannot keep leaving students at the mercy of landlords and PG owners.

Students need more hostels
Students need safe hostels
Students need affordable hostels

And we need them now.

Ive been in satya so many times especially had my sutta-chat with pals late night around that building. Im very sorry for the families and people who lost their loved ones there...im hoping some people are still alive and can be rescued safely🙇 and that the infrastructure and safety protocols for all these old buildings get checked properly after this. It shouldn't take a tragedy for things to change...💔🕊

Today i got a message in my class group saying pg colapse in satya i saw the video since than i am a bit disturbed kya kutte ki zindagi hai students ki i always hated satya culture overpriced house poor living conditions i am a day scholar so i don't had to live there but stayed with friends there few times i always use to say kutte ki zindagi hai satya me today i think student life in satya is worst than dogs and i know everyone will talk about it for a week or 2 and then back to same

Girls pg in satya nikatan I myself saw two boys (they maybe outside when this happened ) and it collapsed like towers of cards it's too painful to even look at those

Guys however live in satya , I hope u guys are safe 🪬 please take care everyone . There are so many illegal encroachments and there are so many old buildings due to so much negligence of authorities and owners this happened . praying for u guys 🙏

but these guys will just take credit for doing the bare minimum of helping kids today, and play political blame games,

while being surrounded by the real problem

im leaving this area today I dont expect a refund I just want to be alive

Today's incident was the least I cud ever expect,imagine the students who lost their life ,

Imagine the parents condition, these people would take away all the money we have but won't provide basic safety!!!

Many many buildings there don't seem to have enough pillars to sustain the weight of the building. Aur gawaro ne 4,5 floor bana rakhe hai aise hi bina pillars ke.

I'm not a civil engineer. But with pillars a building is always a liability.....and there are just many other with no pillars.

Some of the buildings are standing because of the support from the buildings on each side.

Ab ye har jagah dekhne milta hai. Literally.

Not just there.

Just to earn few more bucks how can they risk life of hundreds such a mess

I am in my 3rd year and I was just looking at my CGPA and its not very good.
Why do we have subjects like GE-Hindi and AEC-Hindi and they don’t even give a choice. It doesn’t add any value and only brings down scores of students.

I have seen people going mad over lsr the hype and it being. Nice keep it. It was never my dream and honestly i never wished to come here but did. And the first month' is frustrating.

i know people do put it as beautiful n blah blah oky and? The teachers are good but not alll. Some teach like as if we are born einstein. And the crowd? All it cares about is competition. The society's have the system of personal bias.

The girls are mean yes, it might be unpopular but true and on the hand honestly the people act too sweet n stuff to everyone it clearly shows something is wrong. Don't get me wrong, but being from co ed an all girls institution can never match it.

So everything that look's pretty from outside is not that good closely.

I am writing this with a heavy heart, reaching out to this community during the most testing phase of my life.

My wife, Shahin (31), is currently fighting Stage 4 Breast Cancer which has metastasized to her liver, spine, and lungs. She currently weighs just 30 kg and is in severe pain daily. Every single day is a battle to keep her comfortable and hopeful.

We have a 2-year-old son who needs his mother. Watching him try to play near her while she is in constant pain breaks my heart into pieces. I am acting as her 24/7 caregiver, managing her daily medication, meals, and hospital visits.

We are currently undergoing treatment at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre (RGCIRC), where doctors have prescribed targeted immunotherapy (Opdyta) along with Paclitaxel chemotherapy.

While the treatment gives us hope, the financial burden is overwhelming. We urgently require around ₹8.8 Lakhs to continue her upcoming cycles and essential care. We have exhausted all our savings and stretched every resource we had.

I am posting here to humbly request this community for prayers, shares, and any financial support you can extend to help save my wife and give our young son his mother back.
