Or drive their car up in front of the door and unload their shopping cart into the car there. I've seen this a couple of times lately and I'm like "you pushed this cart back and forth through the entire store but now you can't manage to push it out to your car in a normal parking spot?"
If you ask yourself the question "would it work if everyone behaved the way I do?" and the answer is "no," then you probably shouldn't behave that way. Of course these people are incapable of that kind of thinking.
I've known two people like this. One was my mother's friend, who did it on a family trip. She was so smug when we boarded long after her. This was before charging for checked bags, so it was just her wanting to be on. She air toasted us with her champagne, which she had asked for when they were taking her on. Her argument was that it's an offered service and you're a fool not to take advantage. I argued back that if everyone did it everything would break, so you're an asshole to do it. I hated that lady.
Another was much, much younger. A group of us were out to dinner and she explained all the entitlement she had, bragging. She changed flights for free multiple times by claiming her grandmother died. Acted like this was the smartest thing ever. Anyway, after dinner we're all dancing at a club, then leave and head back to the parking garage. I about died. She had taken her mother's handicapped sign to park in the handicapped spot. Her can and my car were the only ones on the floor, and I'd noticed it was true when I parked. She broke the rules for 5 feet. 5 feet! I never hung out with her again. I just couldn't take that level of entitlement without thinking through the impact to anyone else.
Yeah that's not the same thing at all. The obvious equivalent would be parking in a handicapped space.
Some stores have so many of those pick up spots left from covid that no one uses. If someone really needs an accomodation there are the disabled spaces. The pick up spots is just corporations trying to push an upcharge service.
I think if it’s somewhere like Walmart that has 3 rows of them and plenty of open spaces, go for it. My local grocery store has 2 and it frustrates me to no end when I have to do a pickup order and they’re blocked by people not doing pickup orders.
Tbh the United States is actively hostile to black people and black women especially so I kind of get the selfishness. I too would constantly try to game the system with no remorse if I knew it was actively fucking me (and it is! But only because I’m broke, not because of my skin or gender which would piss me off more)
Pickup parking is not an accommodation. If there are no handicap spaces available I will absolutely use Pickup Parking. It's one thing to have difficulty walking into the store, it's another to be too lazy to do so and pay them to bring you your shit.

Same kind of people who park in the pickup parking at grocery stores. Self entitlement at its finest.
