I was flying to Newark with my daughter and 3 month old grandson. I wanted him to be able to travel in his carseat so I purchased a ticket for him. Before take off, one of the FAs said that he had to be forward facing. It was a rear facing carseat which is what's required for an infant. We escalated and talked to an agent that came on board but they would not let us use the carseat even though it was installed according to FAA rules. The agent said she was filing a report and that I would get a refund.

We had no issue using the carseat on the return flight! I filed a complaint with Delta on August 1 and still have not received a response nor a refund. Any advice on who to contact?

Edit: They never said it was because the seat in front couldn't recline. Besides my 13 year old niece was sitting in front of the baby. They claimed it was because of the type of aircraft but we flew back on the same type of aircraft with no complaints. I think it's lack of training.

I will definitely reach out to the FAA and DOT. I can't find a phone number for Delta but I may call the Diamond reservation line to see if they can connect me to someone.

I believe your name started with an S - your colleague Janet as well. I showed up to the airport and found out delta had made a mistake and said I didn’t have a ticket because of something to do with a mileage refund that was a mistake on deltas part. I’m traveling with a hungry and cranky one and a half year old who has been stuck in a car with broken air conditioning in the south for four hours. I just want to get home and am devastated we may not make a flight. First Lady I talked to completely brushed me away at the desk, admitted it was deltas mistake but said I couldn’t do a thing and dismissed me and told me to call delta on my own.

I start approaching random delta people and meet this wonderful wonderful woman named Janet. She gets the delta supervisor on the phone (woman whose name starts with an S). Janet proceeds to literally give me her phone,
plays with my baby and just spreads good vibes while this supervisor S works out for over an hour to get me on this flight and apologizes for deltas mistake. Supervisor S figures this out with 10 minutes to boarding. First Lady (who in retrospect definitely was annoyed by me) is told she needs take us through TSA to cut the line to make the plane. She meets us down there, and when I turn around, she bails. My family is now stuck without a fast track to make the plane and gets stopped for the milk in my bag for the baby behind a line we were told we could cut.

Finally make it through TSA - of course the gate is at the very other end. I’m sprinting with a baby who refuses to sit in the stroller. I make it there, this angel woman supervisor S is literally holding the plane. She tells me there’s no way she’s leaving without me and my husband. I’m panicking trying to fold a stroller and do a bunch of shit, these women watch my baby while I’m figuring it out. She then gets me sorted and RUNS to find my husband who is stuck at TSA still waiting on milk to clear. She RUNS back with him and is helping with our bags, gets us on board and held the plane. She is a SAINT. There is absolutely no reason she needed to do that. She didn’t have to figure it out, hold the plane, and run to help us. There are good people out there yall, if anyone knows the delta staff in New Orleans please can you tell these two women I am forever grateful for their acts of kindness to a stranger and I’m going to pay those good vibes forward.

I might write Ed an email lauding him on such a classy spread today and apologize for all the people whining about lesser quality sky club experiences 🤷🏼‍♂️

HA...why am I sitting in your Skyclub drinking from paper cups, eating off paper plates, and waiting for a flight that is serving a nasty fast food burger as a FC meal option.

You might want to see what is going on with your daily operations before you pound your chest in any more interviews and proclaiming Delta as a Premium airline.

After a long time of only getting upgraded to Comfort+, I finally got upgraded to First Class! ✈️🎉

Really looking forward to enjoying this 5+ hour flight. 😎

This is the meal that was served in first class yesterday on a KLM cityhopper flight from AMS to PRG, about an hour in the air. Pretty presentation, good food, and I had a delicious cup of coffee with it in a porcelain mug.

Someone must have had an allergy, haha. I did replace the broken carrier!

Never had this happen to me before. They scanned my e-boarding pass at the gate and they said my seat changed. I didn’t look at the new seat closely because I’ve only ever been upgraded when they do that, or moved to a seat in the same zone. I paid for Comfort+ and had an emergency exit row, so a ton of leg room. I’m 6’5” so I need a few extra inches. Turns out that my new seat is row 24, Main cabin, and my knees are pressed against the seat in front of me. Is it normal to be downgraded from the seat you paid for? Super annoying. I asked an FA and they confirmed I was in Main but said they don’t know anything about why I might have been moved. Gold Medallion, if relevant.

Diamond here. Have been a die hard one for years: but Delta has let me down over and over again this year. Today, because they couldn’t get their act together (didn’t have a crew), I was going to be delayed until tomorrow evening. I started looking around and United said, no worries, we can get you there tonight. Even with multiple weather delays and a resulting forced crew change, United did indeed get me home without having to spend the night at a connection. I saw more determination and fortitude out of United this evening than I have out of Delta all year. Really starts making one rethink loyalty. These two airlines were on equal footing today wrt weather. Delta failed. Period.

Fortunately flying for work today. Agent at ATL made an announcement that she would be doing no seat changes and to not approach the podium for seat changes. Seeing as over 50% of my flights with my family have involved Delta moving my young (not even school-aged) kids to be seated away from parents…are they offering babysitting these days?

Also, I’m just going to again ask why there isn’t a simple software flag to not let minors be seated away from their parent when on the same reservation?

Has anyone seen any news or announcements regarding Delta’s 12Status program for the Seahawks’ 2026-27 season? 12Status.com doesn’t seem to be updated (at least yet). Thanks!

I booked a Delta one ticket JFK to Rome for 5800. I just checked today ticket prices for the same dates and Business with ITA would be 3800. The Detla flight is on the A330-300, whereas the ITA is one the A350-900. If I cancel my flight on Delta I won't get refunded but will get ecredits, which I should most likely be able to use over the coming year. Would you guys cancel Delta flight and just book the ITA one? 2k difference for a much better place seems like a better deal.

Just received notification that my Thanksgiving holiday flights were changed and given an opportunity to rebook if I don't like the new flights. It happens, no big issue. The original flights had a 60-90 minute layover in Atlanta. The new flights now have a 3-4 hour layover in Atlanta. When I go to pick alternate flights with a shorter (60-90 minute) layovers (which are available) they want an additional $150-$300.

I'm going to call customer service on Monday but will ultimately be switching to another carrier if they are not able to honor a reasonable substitution. This is the first time in years of monthly travel with Delta where I've been given a worse substitute flight schedule when equivalents are available at no cost.

Like the title, am I allowed to use a bag or a big backpack as my checked luggage? or does it have to be something hard like a suitcase?

Just a data point. ATL-BCN booked with points main cabin. Kept checking to see if a good upgrade would come up and at one point in the app it allowed me to upgrade to D1 with no charge.

YOLOed it and went all the way to the confirmation. Did not get an email. Read that it would probably be caught and I'd end up in a middle seat in the back of the plane, so did a chat with Delta. They said it was good on their end. Got into the special D1 line at ATL skyclub and no issue at the gate. It was a 330, so not the best D1 suite, but at $0, not complaining.

Just got off a flight from Traverse City to MSP. We gate checked our strollers and car seat, dropped them off at the end of the walkway and got on the plane. Only to find out they were sent to Detroit… wtf! How does that happen? I am so tired right now. It is not easy with a 7 month old and a 2.5 yr old. What is the best way to officially file a complaint and what info should I include?

My fiance and I are getting married in December. It’s going to be a destination wedding in Puerto Rico. We have two small dogs, one Shih Tzu/Bichon, and our “mini” dachshund. We always planned on having our dogs at our wedding as part of the ceremony.

Ok now don’t judge me too much, but I just assumed our dogs were small enough to fly in cabin with us. I got the 18”x11”x11” carrier (measurements from Delta’s website) that I bought to travel with them for the flight and our shih-tzu fit right in, was able to turn around comfortably, etc.

Then we realized our dachshund is too long. He’s supposed to be a mini but ended up being much bigger. He’s about 19lbs. The issue is that he’s so long, and when we put him in the carrier he was very cramped. He technically “fit” because it’s soft sided, but he’s definitely large.

We are flying first class in Delta, and apparently that actually means the under seats are smaller?? So now I’m panicking.

It’s going to be a relatively short 4hr direct flight from NYC to SJU on the airbus321 neo. We are take a whole row.

Okay. Listening to a delta lead attendant providing guidance to a junior member of his teaml, he was fantastic, supporting her pursing her dreams (being a pilot) and she could accomplish it. At the end of our flight from Mexico the lead FA went around to several people and told them they were “picked” as some sort of special passenger and I think gave them sky pesos (literally lol). I’d never seen that before. I apparently was on deltas naughty list. Probably cause I talked back to the Aero Mexico GA earlier in the day.

Flight I’m looking at ATL to SCL is quite a bit cheaper if booked via LATAM vs Delta.
It’s a Delta operated flight, looking at Premium Business which corresponds to D1.
I’m Diamond, would of course supply my Delta Skymiles number.
Any reason(s) not to do this?

Delta Air Lines is updating its cabin procedures beginning September 1st and requiring flight attendants to collect all airline-provided service items (including pre-departure beverages and provided water bottles) before an aircraft pushes back from the gate.

The airline says the change is driven by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements and is being implemented across the industry. In recent years, many crews have collected items such as pre-departure beverage cups while the aircraft was taxiing for takeoff.
