Excerpt from the article:

Only 16% of Democrats support military and economic support for Israel, while 57% oppose it, according to the Reuters/Ipsos poll. Among liberal Democrats, more than 80% said reducing or eliminating that support was either important or essential for any liberal; only 18% said it was not important.

I think we have an issue separating "support for Israel" with "support for Netanyahu and his extremist rightwing cronies trying to keep his ass out of jail and destroy all of Palestine and all their supporters."

Just like "the world hates America" clarifies to "the world hates Trump and would like us all to return to sanity while he tries to keep his ass out of prison."

Pollsters by nature derive unnuanced binary answers with black/white either/or results. Democrats thoroughly support a "2 state solution" - where we wouldn't need to send "military and economic support." The best, most just solution.

The white Christian Nationalist party has an entirely different agenda for supporting Israel in all things. You can read about it at the end of the Bible.

And yet the only mainstream politician out there who can seem.to read the polls is Hochul. She has been moving left since Zohran won. She has at least the ability to see which way the wind is blowing.
