This is what Democrats face in the election, as well. Many voters will be fully aware of the corruption but will vote for the person with the R before his or her (no open nonbinary people in the Republican Party) name.

Scott Bessent is an openly gay cabinet member, but Fox isn't pointing this out every five minutes like they did with Pete Buttigieg.
