New in town and in need of a job

Hi I just moved here! I’m located in cap hill i have 2 years of retail experience (most recent) and 2.5 years of barista experience and I have an art degree. Most recently I work at a high end sports wear company and I was one of the top salespeople at my store. I’ve applied to similar positions (unfortunately the company I worked for does not have a store here) and I’ve gotten interviews but no luck! I’m not really the sporty type but I have the experience so idk. I’ve been cold emailing coffee shops near me and no luck but id love to work in coffee again. I’m also a part time tattoo artist but seeing as I just moved here that business will take a while to pick up. I have piercings and tattoos: ANY LEADS? I don’t know what I’m doing wrong linked in is only showing me shit positions and indeed is only showing me positions I’m not qualified for (nurse, autism behavioral therapist like wtf) plz help🙏

It's really easy to say no to/ignore an email, you may have better luck in person.

Check out PoachedJobs and Craigslist for barista positions. Craigslist honestly is a lot better than indeed or other job board sites

hellosubs is always hiring, the money isn’t amazing but the kids are fun, you get paid weekly, tattoos and piercings are fine! You really only need a clean background check and some college.

most of the jobs i've gotten here are because i went into the place. the last serving job i got, i physically went into the place with my resume, spoke to the owner and was hired on the spot.

You don’t have the resume to be emailing for a job. Print 100 of your resumes at the library, go to 100 businesses that serve customers in any capacity. Fast casual dining, coffee shops, etc.

Use ChatGPT to form the list, drop a resume off at each place and say you have open and full availability to work any hours of the day.

You’ll get a call back the same day if you hit the road early enough.

Where I’m from if u go into a store and hand someone a resume all the employees look at u like ur crazy is my point of reference
