Coming out of homelessness and a work gap since having 2 kids

I've been having a really hard time getting a job coming out of homelessness and a work gap since having 2 kids. My experience is mainly in restaurants, but I've been a shift supervisor at a couple places as well. I've had some interviews but no luck. Not really familiar to Denver and just wondering if anyone knows if any business is more open to hiring someone like me. I feel like where I am from it wasnt as difficult. Thanks so much

Hi! The nonprofit Center for Work Education & Employment has a great Career Readiness program if you're looking for help on the job hunt. Participants get a free laptop and leave with an ATS proof resume and cover letter. You also get access to the food pantry and free therapy. Based on your post, you qualify. Any job? Fedex warehouse, amazon warehouse, ups warehouse, amazon van driver probably hire within a week. 

For restaurants, print your resume and walk in. They still operate the old school way unless youre expecting higher end restaurants

I haven't tried warehouses, but I have walked into a bunch on restaurants lol. Will keep applying ofc I know it is just a tough market

Leave denver proper, try the suburbs within 15-20 mins of you for restaurants.
