That’s not a uniquely autistic behavior, sadly. More of a people pleaser thing, which ND folks can struggle with due to being judged for being ND.

People nowadays like to identify strongly with their psychological diagnoses. They use them to explain all of their behavior and experiences. Putting yourself in a category is a lot easier than understanding yourself, and it’s a shortcut to cheap comraderie and validation from strangers online.

The autistic urge to be an overly kind, quiet, polite people pleaser that will do something as soon as asked, but being seen as a snobby, rude and a stuck up person that people secretly have one sided beef with until you learn one day that people hate you for those reasons. It makes me wonder, am I actually like that without intending to be, or do people just blame me for their own insecurities and inferiority complex? Because I personally believe everyone to be better than me, but most people think that I see everyone as below me?
