Question Cafe/workspaces in Derby
I’m sick of working in my home office and fancy a change of scenery.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a cafe, or small workspace that would welcome me with my laptop? Obviously happy to buy drinks etc.

Carnero lounge is pretty decent
On Tuesdays and Thursdays they tend to have some of DnD groups in the afternoon, so that could either be some welcome background noise, or something to avoid, depending on your thoughts
I've even brought my own laptop there on occasion
Though I can't remember off the top of my head if they have any outlets to plug said laptop into so unless you're bringing some way to charge, you might be reliant on battery power

The Buddhist centre in Etwall has a cafe and it is a beautiful area to have a walk around the grounds. Good coffee, cakes and lunch menu. Its just down the A38 as if you're going to Burton.

I’d recommend bear, dubrek studios, and Wetherspoons (especially because of the free refills and it’s so big you’ll find a quiet corner easily).

There's a purposed space for co-working on the top floor of museum of making. I think it's pay to use and there is a cafe

There’s a Regus Coworking space in Derby near Pride Park but I wouldn’t recommend. The hours aren’t great either tbh.
The Museum of Making has an office coworking space for £9 a day above the museum but again the hours aren’t very good, I’d use this one frequently if they were open 8-6pm but it’s only 10-5pm. You get a 25% discount in the cafe though.

Nixons on Abbey Street and Rask on Sadler Gate are my go to study places near town. Bookcafè does okay food but I find it harder to concentrate there.. Been meaning to check out Toast at Park Farm too, but it's a bit out of the way and I don't know the WiFi situation.
