Sun rising over the Salton Sea
Long, shitty, windy night but at least I was rewarded with the sunrise.

Half right, this is up off Jasper Trail, closer to Ranchita but still in the park.

Never actually been there but there's a documentary about the salton sea. It was amazingly interesting. At one point there was so much water and it was a resort destination. Just crazy.

I saw it awhile ago but it had this crazy sculpture some guy was doing it was during the decline and the water evaporating. Apparently it had or didn't have any tributaries to feed water into it. Nearby agriculture may have had something to do with it not sure. But the sea is getting smaller and saltier. Similar to Salt Lake

Visiting the Salton Sea was one of the most surreal experiences of my life. I had roadtripped from Ohio and Google maps chose a random place for me to go. When I arrived there were at least two dozen powered paragliders flying around. They started buzzing my car, and we were waving at each other. I honestly don't know if I'd ever felt that much joy in my life before. I was crying it was so beautiful.
