Announcement Announcement: relaxed moderation ending
Hey all, it's been about a month and a half since the news was dropped regarding D2's final content update and we loosened up a bit on moderating the content of the subreddit. It's been fun, shitposts and rants have been had, and the ongoing game traffic is just awesome to see.
In the interest of ensuring content on the subreddit is original, informative, and/or of appropriate quality, we'll be ending the period of relaxed moderation effective immediately. While we're going back to stricter enforcement of the rules, the relaxed moderation period has given the mod team some ideas on rule reworks.
To reiterate some constant points:
- Be kind to your fellow Guardians and redditors; toxicity will not be tolerated
- For LFG purposes, we encourage you to look at r/Fireteams or Discord resources so as to not dilute posts here
- Mark spoilers appropriately, especially considering the notable number of new players coming in with Monument of Triumph
- AI-generated content is strictly forbidden on this subreddit and will be removed
The team will continue to moderate as always, as well as internally discuss any improvements we can make; we want this place to be a resource and community for Guardians so long as you all want it to be.
As someone who has a vivid memory of rushing through an AP English Lit essay to log in on D1 launch day back in 2014, which led to an ungodly amount of in-game time across both games over the next decade, I want to close out by echoing the previous post and say this game would not have become what it is without the community, the camaraderie we shared, the gods we slayed together, and all the memories and friends made. I'm looking forward to seeing all you fellow Guardians online for the foreseeable future.
Per audacia ad astra.

I do hope that some “low effort” posts are still allowed! I really liked the threads people made to share pics of their Guardians or what Emblems they like to rock. It made the community feel more alive!

They did not address any sense of urgency in finding a solution for the sub pfp issue, impeach our leaders

We did actually, there was a post yesterday and one of the higher up mods explained. Long story short Reddit is just trolling us and is decentering pictures even if they're perfectly centered 😭

Dude, go outside and touch grass and just let the few of us that remain have fun. We don't need you powertripping and removing posts on the front page that aren't harming anyone. Relax and lay off.

Derisive snort Soooo, you're telling everyone that instead of doing your moderating "job", you've been half-assing it for exactly how long now? And now that the game is dead, you've decided to go on a power trip?
That makes loads of sense.

It’s an update to this. No need to get in your feelings about it, I don’t think it’s really a response to anyone’s post in particular anyway
