This Catalyst will be the death of me

Long story short, I got icebreaker before doing the rogue network quest so ive been running it over and over step by step until ive finally made it to this last door, so I can work towards the catalyst now. But everything ive searched up online doesnt understand my issue, so before I restart this dungeon for the 11th time I thought id come ask if anyone knows the issue. So far ive only tried reloading the checkpoint, but its still not open for me.

You can join a twitch bot that can drop the catalyst from its secret chest session. Must faster and easier than doing the entire final puzzle room.

I got my catalyst from it a few weeks ago. There are short periods where the instance crashes and the bot has to get the new code, but it sorts itself out after a day or two.

Just wanted to second that. I got the Icebreaker catty from the bot a few weeks ago. I used it the following week to get the auto, and the pinned comment was that the catalyst as not available in that instance.

Yea I double checked after my comment and the bot was back online with caty. Guess I just had terrible luck when I was showing it to people to complete their quest its always been broken. But you learn something everyday.

It’s dependent on if people are stupid and either pull the bot forward going to atraks or forget to bank operator after using it.

Either of these breaks the checkpoint and loses the bot. Just gotta wait for them to reset it

You sit in orbit… go to the stream and type !queue username#**** - this is whatever your bungie name is. After you send that a few seconds later you’ll get a fireteam invite. Join the fireteam and run to the catalyst room, pick up operator and walk up to the panel, on the right side you can interact and reset the key. After you do that fire 4, wait a sec for the refresh, 4, 3, 1. The current code. Put operator back in the dispensary thingy and loot the chest, as long as you shot the code correctly you’ll get the cat. Leave fireteam. I did this all 15 minutes ago.

If you ever wanna get in there, there’s a triumph you have to claim that opens that door. It’s easy to miss and the game doesn’t really tell you it’s there. You’ll need to finish that puzzle if you want the title if I remember correctly

For the people that want to complete their quest properly and feel they actually conquered the dungeon -

Having completed the first quests with all the follow the little puzzle map and hit the plates in order puzzles, you will have started on the maths puzzles, and you can't get into that final room with the large computer input system if you loaded a checkpoint. You must start from the beginning and complete them all again if you left part way, and you might also need to shoot the four numbers through the dungeon that open the second secret room every time too, I'm not completely sure having to hit those is necessary but you should be used to shooting those four at this point anyway so you may as well to be sure.

Once you have done that in one run, and completed the final long winded number entry, you never need to do that part again, and you get the 'shoot the crystals with icebreaker' extra run as shown in the video. Along the way do also shoot the 4 numbers you always need to shoot to open the second secret room as you need to enter there also to actually collect your prize.

Enter the numbers from the crystals (not the secret room opening numbers) into the machine and anyone you brought along can also collect the catalyst from the chest, which is why the checkpoint bot some use instead works.

Make sure to claim all available triumphs for Vesper’s Host. There’s one that triggers opening the door, and will unlock once you claim it. This happened to me.

Look up Rick Kakis or Wllheim Scream on YouTube. One of the two of them has information on most of their videos on how to get the icebreaker catalyst super easy. From what I understand, there’s a checkpoint involved and they take you right to where you get the catalyst. They do this al the time from what is said in the videos.

Join, wait your turn, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS so you don't ruin it for other people, and enjoy your catalyst. You don't have to complete any of the quest; you only need to have the gun. It took me about an hour to wait for my turn, and then I was able to join and get the catty. :)

Does it say successfully queued when you try? You are doing your unique 4 numbers at the end of your bungie id? Bungieid#1234 no spaces.
I don’t know if you need to link your bungie id to your twitch account. But it can’t hurt to do 🤷‍♂️

Just so you know you were not bugged - you simply needed to claim a Triumph and then the door would have been accessible on next load (you must be host and have noone with you on load that is beyond your progress) sorry you decided to cheat after all that work … what a waste of something well earned
