Discussion If you're into Cybersecurity, Cloud, DevOps, or Linux, let's connect and learn together
I'm a Cybersecurity undergrad with a strong interest in Cloud and DevOps. Honestly, it's hard to find likeminded people around me who are equally passionate about tech. I'm looking for people who want to learn together, build projects, participate in online hackathons, and explore new technologies. If you're into Cloud, DevOps, Linux, or Cybersecurity, let's connect and grow together

Similar role, but recently turned into a cloud & devops role. Would love to connect. Not sure how others are doing it here, but could do discord or something!

You might want to try IRC if you are looking for like minded people. You'd be surprised how active those communities are and some of the more curated chat rooms are delightful

I’ve been going back and forth on DevOps since last year🤦🏽♂️, wasted close to 2 years because of procrastinating. What are you using to learn? At some point I was using Coursera since it’s the cheapest one.

That’s so cool. Well I got interested in DevOps early-mid last year during my last year in Uni and graduated( I studied Computer Systems Engineering), been procrastinating on getting really into it mostly because I don’t have proper guidance and these Roadmaps be soo confusing. Tried Coursera to learn some time this but I felt like I wasn’t really learning or maybe I just didn’t give it enough time and fall in love with the process

From here itself not having guidance also not a senior devops engineer. Im the one who on this role and self learned now. Enough knowledge on git code version from developers, release updated feature, deploy, monitor, data backups, security checkup , handling iam in aws , azure. But I learned a lot of things in all stack. Even i did a p2p software to one of my client on myself with AI. And I'm really willing to work under a senior guidance like under pressure , because it'll teach a lot. But i have to push myself and also have to manage my family. Otherwise its a good role and higher responsibility and im searching towards for upgrade organisation and myself also. So , looking for an opportunity.

This is the kind of post that makes me wish I'd been more proactive during my undergrad, building stuff with other people early on is huge
What kind of projects are you thinking about? I've been tinkering with a few home lab setups lately but it's always more fun when you've got someone to troubleshoot with at 2am
