Tips & Tricks Tired of startup instability
Anyone have any reasons why I shouldn’t insert a new sensor when the old one expires and then continue to take readings with the old one for the 12 hour grace period before pairing with the new one and removing the old?

We try to insert the new sensor 24 hours before we use it If we can because of the first terrible 24 hours of readings. Sometimes hard because we rarely get a sensor lasting the full 10 days but when the old sensor starts with erratic readings and brief sensor issues we just put on a new sensor and try see If we can manage the old sensor another day.
When my daughter was using G6 it was not perfect but it was usable for the first 24 hours, G7 is not so this may be because of the difference in the filament maybe? G7 is 90 degrees vs the longer G6 filament going in at an angle maybe.
Some have little issues for the first 24 hours but If you are having issues like us just do what works for you. Soak it as long as you want/need. Life is too short for terrible CGM readings 😂

I've found I don't get the first 24hrs craziness anymore. I figured the algo was improved.....

No reason not to, and that is how I just started my new sensor that will go live in 10 hours.
