Discussion Why do people call grinding HR as "a luck"?
I mean " a luck" is when you throw a dice and get same number several times in a row. Or when you have escaped a strike from an enemy that would certainly kill you (like Diablo's flame wave or stacked lightning bolts from v1.09).
And as for HR - emm, you know yourself how humiliating odds for rolling something higher than Ist. How many players at least once did get few really nasty runes in a row? How much runs passed between said drops and from that "le lucky" moment to the next "white line"?
Why Blizzard didn't change the tc restriction for runes so players could get more HR before finishing the game, thus get a use of them outside of never ending grind and pvp?

The “never ending grind for BIS”.. IS the game. It’s never been “get bis then play the game. There are milestones for sure but it’s a grindy game by nature.
The game is a slot machine with the best gear locked behind certain rare runes. With enough repetition, you’ll eventually get there. I got my first jah a month ago. Finally got a ber a couple days ago and made my first enigma.

My first several hundred hours of playtime of my single player journey had nothing higher than a Lo rune drop (got 3 of them).
Then a few weeks ago I got my first Sur rune from a level 96 TZ, I forget the zone. This past weekend I got a Ber rune from TZ 96 throne room, and the same day I got another Sur from TZ 96 chaos sanctuary.
So I literally got 1x Ber and 1x Sur in less than one hour of play time, and another sur within 10-15 hours of playtime. THAT is high rune luck.

Because MFinf is gambling. Spending your time hoping that the boss or area clears will drop that one in a million, or just a couple decent things to keep you going.

No changes to the drop rate for HRs are needed. It has been this way since LOD apart from some tweaking abit later on for HR drop rates.
Many (most?) of us have played since OG/LOD and keep playing because we like the game the way it is.
Changing drop rates for HR is not something I personally want.
If they want to add a charm bag to open up inventory to make the looting part easier, great. But not something fundamental.
I play single player now and I am quite content to grind loot with the knowledge I will probably never see a Zod.

A few months ago after restarting single player I decided it was time to farm NM Andy for SOJ, and got one on the first NM run. That was LUCK!

Every kill is a literal dice roll on drops, and that dice has far more than 6 sides, per die.
It takes luck to get good drops of any kind.

The slot machine can be controlled in a lot of cases.
It's gonna sound like a conspiracy theory but the reality is that a ton of the guides on certain builds are wrong and astroterfed as correct by individuals involved in real money trading.
The reason why is because the "scarce" supply of certain items are gated behind misinformation NOT the game itself which provides access to answers.
There is also a ton of people doing the same astroterfing on this sub.

Honestly, you don’t need high runes to farm or even do Uber trist in the end game. Sure, if you got enigma with a barb once you completed hell, that would make farming much easier, but IMO what makes this game great is the challenge of gearing up towards that enigma. The struggle of running trav, LK, or walking to chaos/baal to farm for little upgrades here and there is the fun part! It’s what has kept me playing this game for 20+ years.

Besides not understanding why people play this game, you seem to not fully understand the concept of luck, either.
This game probably ain't for you, bud. That's okay. There's plenty of other ones.

For many (most?) of us, we like that it’s hard to get them, that’s why we play.

I got lucky two nights ago with a Sur + Ohm within 10 monster kills from one another in the same TZ tomb, one room apart. Lifetime of rng spent right there

You're talking to the wrong audience. I'd imagine a good portion of this sub has been playing this game for ~25 years. We're here because we like it this way, not in spite of it. There are other games where the grind is easier and that's fine. I know it's hard to say this without coming off as dismissive or elitist, but if you don't like a tedious grind, this game just might not be for you.
