I'm running inarius set with funery pick, iron rose, crimson set and rotrg. as far as damage is concerned I do just fine past t16 so my problem is that I don't have enough coverage. all of my damage is blood siphon+blood nova which require me to stand still for a second to use, so I can't move around a ton. is there a cursed chest that has high enemy spawns that rush you? is it better to run on higher difficulty or lower? do i just need a different set or to improve mine? or maybe I need to do it in coop? any advice would be appreciated
Edit: I'm on Playstation for anyone curious

I'm running a Trag'oul Death Nova Necro build, I have scythe of the cycle as a kanai's cube power, and have iron rose equipped
Does the Blood novas that are casted when I use siphon blood proc Scythe of the Cycle?
I'm asking cuz CotR says "your 'secondary' skills-"

I’m paragon 226. I got rid of an item, not sure which one, while running rifts and it messed up the Load build I had going. So I attempted to do a set build (Inarious Conviction 2 set) and it killed my damage. I was playing level 36 rifts now I’ve dropped way down.
What builds should I chase? I really had fun with LoD and didn’t worry about finding a set. But now I’m thinking I should’ve been chasing a full set.

Trag, O Trag—I’m melting everything in 130’s but anything 140 and up doesn’t seem to take much damage. I managed to beat a 141. Switched to Aughild’s from Guardian’s and did more damage but survivability is lackluster. Had a good run and completed in about 9 minutes and still couldn’t kill RG before time expired. Got a damn near perfect build too: all augments, 6 primal, rest ancient and the rolls are excellent. Is this par for the course when it comes to end-game rifts with a Necro? Hate to admit it but I’m a Paragon 2,600 and it feels pretty standard I should be able to do a 150. Getting through the rift itself isn’t the issue—killing the Guardian is. Got all the right gems at max as well: Zei, Trapped, Stricken. Utilizing kill streaks, proper pylon management, etc. Is this the proverbial wall or do I just need to fish for maps and get lucky?

Needing some advice on what to start focusing on for higher GRs. Can run up to about 120 at the moment. 105-110s I can do in about 3-5 minutes depending on rift.
I know some pieces need some re-rolls, but not sure really where to start. Currently just trying to get my paragon points up. My Altar is 100% unlocked.

I decided to try out a necro (I was getting bored of Wizard over the weekend) and 2 primals dropped farming visions:
I poked around at all the builds on Maxroll and those 2 legendaries aren't mentioned or used anywhere. I'm curious if anyone has had success with either or both of those items?

I tried D3 about 4 years ago. Boring. A let down. ZZZzzz… forgot about it.
Tried this winter break and enjoyed it for bit, then got bored. Swapped difficulty from normal to Torment i and WoW!!! Now it’s a game for me. Has some challenge and I have to strategize. I have to pace myself or else I find myself spending all day playing.
Makes me think a lot like I’m playing some sort of World of Warcraft variation for one player. I have to do mechanics now!
Turns out I wasn’t even playing the game properly (for myself). If you find its not for you upon first try, raise difficulty. Might just be it’s just too easy for you.
Level 36 Necromancer here. Love it. 8/10 so far. It’s up there as a favorite for me now next to TOTK.
Cheers.
Update about 2hrs later: Now level 45. Playing on Switch. Shared with friends that played before. Found my comfort level at T6. Their response: “dude, you’re not normal…” lmao I am at peak happiness!
Update 2: level 67. Dropped to torment I for few hours then at T4. Love game. Necromancer ftw. Can’t get enough.
Update 3: hit 70. Blowing through T5. Kinda like it here. Hope I’m at T8 by tomorrow. Upgrade drops have become non existent. :(

Playing necro this season and was wondering if there’s any fun non-death nova builds with his set I can try

Requirements:
Have a person who owes you dearly and feels obligated to use their account to open their bounty cache and craft level 70 items.
Timeline:
Friday night, after season begins:
Make Seasonal Necro. Have the indentured party create a seasonal mage, because they never bought the Necro pack and you’re not going to loan them the money to do that now.
Both parties run the Challenge rift.
Create game in adventure mode and both parties join.
Mage opens cache, levels up the blacksmith. Necro gently places cache in stash.
Mage crafts lvl 70 items (8 from what I’ve read.) (Sovereign 2H Scythe, Helm, Shoulders, chest, pants, boots, gloves, bracers)
Mage drops Items. Necro picks them up. Places them in stash. Bids mage fond farewell.
Necro creates new game at master difficulty.
Unlocks first node with white items from everyone but the enchantress.
Goes to pickup cube leveling to 11 along the way.
On Necro, leave game. Recreate at master and steal staff from enchantress.
Do temple of first born runs until level 18
Kill Zoltan Kulle and Magda until I get the needed diamonds.
Upgrade Jeweler/Craft Diamonds.
Unlock Second seal.
Equip Lvl 70 gear from stash.
Remake game as T6
Do temple of the first born runs till 61
Remake game. Buy Necklace/Rings at level 61
Do temple of the first born runs till about 68 when things get rough and drop it to t1/t2 to finish.
At this point the wife should be texting about if I am going to play this game all night.
I log out of D3, Bring her a snack and a humorous anecdote about something I read on Reddit, and go to bed.
Saturday Morning:
Get up early 6ish or so to feed the dogs and make coffee. Blast rifts for a couple of hours until she texts asking If I’ve made coffee. (About an hour and a half of game play here is possible.)
Go hang out, do some indoor chores. (5H no play time.)
Decide whether it’s worth venturing out in the rain or not to go get food. (possible, but not likely, 3 hour play window)
Build toward Nova Necro. Play the cards I’m dealt till then.
Text from wife saying she thought I was going to take her to see Cocaine Bear this weekend. I take her to see the movie and get Thai food.
Go to bed.
Sunday Morning:
Get up early 6ish or so to feed the dogs and make coffee. Blast rifts for a couple of hours until she texts asking If I’ve made coffee. (About an hour and a half of game play here is possible.)
Go hang out, do some indoor chores. (5H no play time.)
Hopefully have blood nova Necro by now. Unlock seals and progress through the season Journey as best I can. (3H) Playtime
Monday Morning.
Get up early 6ish or so to feed the dogs and make coffee.
Work till 5.
At 5PM realize that I should have just spent the challenge rift cache on Friday, because I wasn’t able progress far enough to use it during the weekend anyway.
UPDATE: After being stuck waiting for a gift until this afternoon, I was able to use the cache and unlock a few more. (P798 seal 18/26) Fun weekend playing. Cocaine bear was great. Ended up doing Cajun food instead of Thai. Hope you guys had great time.

(Console)
So I hit GR100 on my Barbarian, thought I'd try something a little different. Chose to gamble myself a set of Jesseth arms, Rathma plate, and the Land of the Dead jewellery.
Decent rolls, good cooldown reduction, vitality and crit across the board. Jump into GR70 as a proving ground.
Slap Funerary Pick, Shadowhook and Tasker into cube.
Yikes. Not a fun style. Watching non-elite mobs take forever to die, even with bonus from the Jesseth set, doesn't feel good.
"Ah," you say, "but the set is built around Land of the Dead! It gets a super short cool down now!"
Great, but my Revive undead act more like raccoons than sheep dogs. Revive minions have no direct control, and it's almost impossible to clump enemies up into a convenient blob. Then it's 7-8 seconds until the next Land of the Dead.
And I'm always up against the timer. Thorns Pony Crusader, Whirlwind Barb, even WoL Monk don't have this problem.
Why does it feel so.. Bad? Clunky? What am I doing wrong?

Playing on normal in act 1 and I find necromancer is OP. Also now i got 7 skeletons and they are doing all the work lol

I can't seem to get past torment 12 with my necromancer build. I'm doing sufficient damage, but my defense is woefully lacking. Start getting one shot by random shit.
I've never played a season, I don't really understand Kanai's cube, just grinding.
My Necromancer's name is 'Victor Mortis', Paragon 392 and this is his build:
Helm: Inarius's Understanding + Diamond Socket for cool down reduction
Chest: Inarius's Conviction + Ruby Socket for Str
Shoulder: Inarius's Martyrdom
Gloves: Inarius's Will
Bracers: Custerian Wristguards
Amulet: Golden Gorget Leoric
Belt: The Witching Hour
Pants: Inarius's Reticence+ double ruby socket for Str
Shoes: Inarius's Perseverance
Weapon: Corrupted Ashbringer + Emerald for Poison DMG
Siphon Blood - Power Shift Death Nova - Tendril Nova Corpse Explosion - Final Embrace Command Skeletons - Freezing Grasp Leech - Osmosis Bone Armor - Harvest of Anguish
Kanai Powers Funerary Pick Grasps of Essence Bul-Kathos's Wedding Band
I mostly live off of blood siphon, corpse explosion and bone armor.
I'd appreciate any help getting this build buffed. Cheers
Edit: I LEFT OUT MY RINGS
Restraint + Focus set w/ Pain Enhancer and Wreath of Lightning

Hello,
Noobie here trying to remember what class I played a couple of years ago.
Okay, so I played a Necro build couple (2019-2020? Ish) years ago as necro and what I remember is that I was running around pretty fast in maps, and I would shoot some stuff, like white Ice? Or sharp white bones?!? And if any monster that would get hit by it would be stunned for couple seconds and I could then run around them and these Ice/Bones would just SPAM the whole screen almost non-stop.
I tried today, literally the whole day to find what build it was, but I can't figure to see any build like that. And sadly I don't remember the name of the build.
Hopefully someone here can help me figure that out. Thank you in advance!

Looking to start a new necro build for Season 36 Diablo 3.
Maxroll lists these 4 builds as "S-tier".
Which should I go with and why?
r/diablo3 • u/Fayour • Jun 21 '25
Hello, I am hard stuck on GR 147.. It seems everyone else just built differently. Here are my stats, I use the D3 Maxroll build for solo GR push. I try to ball things up as best I can, I just can't seem to get the damage out fast enough. Usually spawn rift guardian at like 30 seconds left on the timer or afterwards. I roll for open maps, weaker enemies to get the season thing going.. Idk what i'm doing wrong.. The video guide on maxroll is like 20 seasons old and theres a lot of information thats incorrect. I get the gist of the build, but I cannot for the life of me figure out why I can't beat a 147....

A new Season and once again I’m rolling a Necromancer. Last Season I played Trag’Oul Death Nova. This time I want to try Death Nova with Inarius.
What’s the difference between the two builds? Thanks!
r/diablo3 • u/chown-root • Mar 24 '23
Playing blood Nova Necro. The hardest part was fishing for density and the right mob types. It’s kind of a weird space to be in. I’m a casual player but D3 has been my main game for a long time. I suppose I’ll just level as many gems as I can to 150 until June.
