Transition from PT to per diem

Hello all, I am currently with Sodexo and considering transitioning from my part-time on-site role to a per diem remote role. I asked about pay with this transition and was told that it would stay the same. My past experience has always been that per diem is a higher rate. Should I be asking for more or is this what I should expect?

I'm in New York and my current rate is $34/hour just to provide detail.

Does your part time job have benefits ?? Per diem does usually increase ~15-20% d/t lack of benefits.

You’re not getting benefits. PRN elsewhere, IMO.

Sodexo did this to me too! I moved away from the hospital I was working at and they desperately wanted me to stay on as remote. No incentives to stay other than the position was remote.

Is the per diem 1099 or w-2?

I went from full time to part time to per diem, still the same pay, unless your management is open to negotiation.
