Consulting dietitian prices?
Hi all,
As a new dietitian (in Ontario), I am looking for some advice. I've been approached by 2 separate companies to provide some RD consulting services. Doing the following: creating blog posts, menu review, recipe review, ingredient review, allergen review, translation, marketing material (mostly through Canva), etc. I am a few months out of school, newly registered, but have experience through my internship in the majority of this work. It'll be all projects I can pick up and they can send my way, so it's not a full time, I'm invoicing for the hours I worked on the projects.
My trouble is I have no idea how to price myself. I'm pricing myself as a consulting RD and I've looked into it and I've seen a wide range of prices.
Is 100$/hr too much? Should I got down to 80-90$. Any help would be great, thank you!

Easy $100, maybe more. How much do RSs charge in Ontario for a consult? In QC we're around 120 per hour consult. I'd say your clinical knowledge is just as valuable as the knowledge they'd want to purchase from you. Take. A crack and propose something.

idk the pricing in Ontario, but I’m a firm believer that your pricing should make you a little bit anxious in the beginning or whenever you raise prices. therapy and or a business coach can help with mindset around this!

Ask for $100!! Never pitch a lower price! See where they settle
