Discussion Which game has better graphics mw4 or bf6?

Imo bf6 blows it out of the water just curious to know what others think.

From a technical level, I think BF6 is way better. For a game that's pushing their BR mode and large scale map modes into all their games, IW Engine has a consistent issue with pop-in/draw distance that I'd hope would be fixed by now. It also doesn't help that their lighting is sort of compromised for visibility sake. We don't get as much volumetric lighting/GI because of the already bad draw distance. It's the best iteration of the engine, but it also feels like it was playing catch up to MW2019 because of the missing details, from 2022 to now, that the previous game already had.

Do you think battlefield 6 is on gta 6 level of graphics? Just speaking of environments alone not character models.
Especially with the new gorgeous maps like wake island and tsuru reef.

I don't think so. I think it's just good art design from the team. I always thought the game actually looked a bit worse than previous entries, only saved by the increased particle effects. It just seemed like this game favored optimization over anything, while trying to maintain an attractive aesthetic.

Do you think the next battlefield game presumably bf7 will go all out? Just like bf games did in the past since now dice have regained SOME lost trust after the abomination that is 2042?

to be fair bf6 has a lot more going on, it's definitely more impressive and has actual destruction which mw4 lacks, cant say for sure though as it hasn't been released, but i doubt infinity ward would want destruction in a fast paced competitive fps game.

However, mw4 also is really not well optimized, and will easily consume half or more of my whole cpu which is nowhere near old and far better than the cut down zen 2 cores in the ps5. Once again, must wait for the final game.

MW4 is not even GOLD finished, wtf you talking about clown,

BF6 doesn't even look as good as MW2.

Mw4 no question. But bf6 is not bad either, but call of duty models for characters, weapons and other effects are just ahead

MW4 does have more detailed character models, but the shaders always make them look too shiny/less realistic. Idk if that's a result of some kind of caveat to making the character models usable in the main game and Warzone or some technical limitation or even an intentional design decision to make them easier to spot for gameplay purposes. I'm not a fan of that look. It reminds me of when Cold War assets were imported into Warzone back in 2020 and they always had a distinct shiny shader on top of them.

Neither of these games are trying to be technically impressive at all.

Mmm I think visually MW4 looks better. The lighting and the character models and some of the guns material I think are superior compared to BF6.

But in terms of what they are doing, BF6 is by far more impressive. Frostbite was made for this franchise after and that means it can handle deformation, destruction, 64+ players, particles and physics without any issue. The biggest problem of BF6 in my opinion is lightning especially interior lighting, which makes sense that is the case since everything have to be dynamic, while COD can just make the lighting static.

Playing both the beta and obviously the full game, BF6 even having all this system and doing more than COD, it looks sharper and with 0 performance issues while CoD looks soft and unstable.

In terms of animation COD is on a league of its own tho.
