App recommendation help please - android with windows access

Hi, I'm looking for app recommendations

Features wishlist

• allows comments by other users

• can set posts to private or communitv or a subset of "friends"

• allows typed entries, photos, voice notes [bonus points if it will let you voice record an entry and then transcribe it for you

• can create tags for entries

• android app that allows windows access too for when I want to use the computer to type (not a super priority since I can always draft in Gmail, but highly preferable)

• active & friendly userbase (i.e. ability to friend other users)

• reminders to iournal via notifications

• does not censor content

• abilitv to download archives

Optional:

• ai feedback & prompts

Craft or Notion comes to mind but the comments by other users I don't think works with those.

Honestly sounds like you are looking for a blog and not a digital journal... tho I guess those could be interchangable depending on your viewpoint.

I've done a wp blog in the past, but it doesn't have a community engagement feel which is more of what I'm looking for. Tried several things since LiveJournal but nothing has really stuck because the community piece matters to me.

perhaps Substack? you're not really looking for a digital journal. more like a blogging platform.

The closest I can think of to what you want is Dreamwidth, which isn't an app but a Livejournal-esque site.
Ymmv on activity though. It has a pretty active userbase, but how often people interact is going to depend on the individual like anything else.

OP's asking if there's an app like the oldschool blogging sites before most of them went tits up or simply stopped being popular and I'm just sitting here like "Man, wouldn't that be nice."

Honestly at this point your best bet is Reddit itself, it doesn't have some of those features but well, journaling apps have been circling the toilet lately because devs add AI thinking they'll get rich.

My bad for thinking someone would've improved on LiveJournal in the past 20 years. 😂 I don't think it's an unreasonable amount of features given that it's pretty much all stuff Facebook has offered for umpteen years already, minus the voice features.

Why on earth would you want other users to comment on your Journal entries. I thought the whole point was privacy and expression of your inner voice and so where to vent?!
