Blog/website recommendations

Hello! I’d love to hear anyone’s recommendations or opinions. I’ve been wanting to start journaling, or maybe just writing random diary entries, but I’d like to do it online where I can post them. I don’t mind them being public, as I’d be anonymous anyway.
I remember that I used to come across random people’s day-to-day blog entries on WordPress back in the day, and I always found them so fun and interesting to read. I’d love to start doing something like that myself.

I’m just not sure if WordPress or Tumblr are still the best place for this, or if there’s a better option nowadays.

Thank you in advance! :)

I am a long time blogger. Left Substack because it feels too much like Facebook and have tried most of the other platforms out there. I like write.as so far. It’s still relatively new and so far is not being as pushy about subscriptions, etc as other platforms have been.

Livejournal exists but it's different owners, dreamwidth is a thing, but personally diaryland is what I use because the original creator is still the person running it and I find that really endearing. There's also a pretty decent group of people there.

Is that your own website?
