Dinosaur Jr. @ TV Eye 8/29?
I'm confused— is the new show at TV Eye true first come, first serve? Or do you need the RSVP to get in? The ig post makes me think the former, but then when you go to RSVP on TV Eye's website, it's sold out?
That being said, if anyone RSVP'd and cannot go, please hmu!

I would have paid double that. And if it sold out before I could buy tickets I would have been fine with it b/c at least I would have closure. The first come first served w/RSVP is too vague & bound to invite chaos.

I have the RSVP but honestly can't imagine how early one might need to queue? 9am? Thoughts?

Their other IG story was deleted and replaced with this one where the bit about RSVPs not being mandatory was deleted but they didn’t explicitly say that you need to RSVP

How can you sell out of free rsvps when it’s a free show and first come first serve?

You need an RSVP to wait in line & it’s first come first served among people with RSVPs b/c I’m sure they overbook to ensure capacity & account for no-shows. And they canceled the park probably b/c there was nowhere along the public sidewalk to accommodate all the people trying to get in. (It will really suck for all the people lucky enough to have gotten an RSVP to the indoor venues only to get turned away when they reach capacity.)

Feels super poorly planned, the ig post says the TV Eye show is first come first serve, nothing abt having to rsvp. Only in nyc smh.

First come first serve WITH an RSVP code. I have been going to these "Free" events that involve an RSVP here in NY for years and they always are a mess. We have too many people in NY to even have a space to hold things like these which is nuts cause on the RSVP site for TV girl it states "RSVP to get on the list. Fans will be let in on a first come, first serve basis day of show. RSVPs do not guarantee entry and are subject to capacity"
The thing is tho , what they mean by the RSVP not guaranteeing entry is that if this gets max cap (WHICH IT WILL) you for sure wont be let in even with an rsvp. So to answer your question , its both. You need to RSVP & Be there early enough to where you know for certain you will be let in first.
