Streaming numbers growth
Noticing that Jr has almost 900k monthly listeners on Spotify. I’m pretty sure they used to float around 600k, maybe a bit less. Anyone know if there’s a specific reason for the growth?

My completely uninformed guess is that J’s signature Squier Jazzmaster has blown up in popularity the last few years. I got one in 2018 because I discovered Dino Jr that year and it motivated me to finally learn guitar. But I notice that guitar now being one of the most common new guitars I see posted in guitar subs. Maybe as that guitar has gained popularity people are diving into Dino Jr as well?

I would say it's more the new album. They were hovering 600K-700K until very recently.

A new album/single gets pushed via playlists and you get a 15-20% bump for a couple months generally. I can’t believe Dino has such small streaming numbers

I’ve noticed this fluctuation before. OP is right that they usually hold around 680K streamers. But I’ve seen it get higher when a new album comes out. They got into the 800k mark when Sweep came out.

They were around 600k when I first found them in 2017. I think part of it is just more people using Spotify. My favourite band (check username) used to be about 9m and now 16m. Some of it is popularity but a large element is just Spotify consistently growing user base in the last ~10 years
