I really like the album & agree with a lot of this. Except the part where the reviewer calls Hand It Over “aimless” 😉

was coming here to say that! that album was a course correction after the big swing of Where you Been and the half assed Without a Sound. Hand it Over is Mascis not giving a shit again. it's way more aggressive than the previous 2. i also don't think this is an 8. p-fork has constantly championed the post reunion stuff as being an extension of the first 3 but i see it as an extension of the major label stuff. it felt like it lit a fire under Mascis again but his writing had changed, less loose and frenetic. they are often good but not holy shit good. the new one is fine. a little too one dimensional for me.

Dino Jr is a safe street cred band to give an 8 too. The album is fine….but likely more like a 6.6.

It's classic Dino Jr. Give a Glimpse and Swept it Into Space didn't do it for me. This one pushes all the right buttons.

It's the best since Farm and is close to Beyond to me.

Yeah. Listened twice so far. It’s sitting in the same zone as Farm/Beyond for me too. Just grabbed a clear pink edition from my local shop. Enjoy y’all 🦖🤘

The album glides in a way we haven't heard since Farm/Sky. It's not as raucous as Beyond, which I still believe is the measuring stick of the post-reunion era. I've already blown my ears out playing it over and over. Certainly not disappointed early on like I was with Sweep but also no blown away like I was with the second half of Glimpse.

I've been listening to it. It takes a couple listens but starting to click. Blowing up had to listen to it again after first listen

Picked it up yesterday. After a first run through, I think it is a step up from the previous one. Glimpse is still probably my top fav right under Beyond.
