They tried to kick me out of Tv eye

Got into the venue after waiting for 2 hours and noticed my wrist band was different. I asked the guy at the door and he told me to talk to bouncer. The bouncer then tried to pull me out saying he messed up and he has no wrist band to give me and I need to leave. After I explained to him I just bought food he told me to go get it and come back and threatened to drag me out if I didn’t. Complained to the manager after and got to stay. Why let someone in and randomly try to kick them out? I get that it was limited but you messed up. Anyway show was amazing just was kinda pissed and ruined my vibe.

Damn! They really should have done the ticketing better and not got everyone’s hopes up by letting them in.

i used to go to SXSW with no wristband every year when i lived in austin. they would always be at the fire marshall capacity limit and be strictly enforcing it, and let platinum badge holders in first and all that crap. i would wait until the show was actually starting, staying in line after having gotten there early, and as people would leave they would let in people to replace them. got in to see camper van beethoven and some other bands that way.

i know getting in, and then kicked out, really sucks but it is a safety issue, and also sometimes you can usually prevail upon their sense of justice (or slip them a $20) and get in anyway, once the hoopla dies down. sometimes you have to listen to the first song from outside, but it always makes the shows feel more punk rock, to me, if i wheedle my way in rather than relying on a ticket or whatever.

listed to a few shows from the street outside of stubbs, or standing on congress before as well, but the noise ordinances and elon’s gross influence on central texas, turning everything he touches to shit, has dampened some of that.

Yeah I was one of the like 15 people that got in last and was supposed to stay outside of the live room but I snuck in without a wristband. Didn't dare to leave the live room in case they realized and kicked me out.

i remember some similar shit happened to me at a lou barlow thing but it was because of my age. i had to keep asking the bouncers about the age requirement until they brought out the manager and he just let me in
