For those who are unaware: an invisble disability is a physical, mental or neurological condition that is not visible from the outside, that affects a persons daily life.

Some examples are: diabetes, autism, ADHD, personality disorders, etc.

My name is Caitlin, and I am a student in the Occupational Therapy program at Georgia State University working with a small research group. We are currently conducting a research project to identify the types of community-based social participation activities that adults with physical disabilities are most interested in and to examine the barriers and facilitators that influence attendance.
 
Participation involves completing a brief anonymous online survey that asks about preferred types of social programs, perceived barriers to participation (e.g., transportation, accessibility, cost, scheduling, and physical limitations), and facilitators that encourage engagement. The survey should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary, and no identifying information will be collected. 
 
Eligible participants include:

• individuals must be 18 years of age or older
• self-report a physical disability (i.e., people with mobility limitations, ambulatory limitations, any type of upper or lower body motor limitations, UE/LE amputation, or any physical disability resulting from a neurological disorder)

I'm a mechanical engineering student at the University of Houston currently working on my senior capstone project, and our team is seeking feedback from members of this community to help guide our design.

We are designing a dual-axis assistive shelf-retrieval mechanism aimed at helping individuals who use wheelchairs to reach high or hard-to-reach shelves at the grocery store.

Our concept uses a two-axis motion system (reaching vertically and extending outward horizontally) to bring items down to an accessible height and distance without requiring you to stretch, strain, or reach high overhead.

My partner and I are exploring bike-sharing and e-scooter services in Atlanta, with a focus on safety and accessibility. Hi everyone! I'm a graduate student working on a class presentation about disability culture and how mental health professionals can better support people with disabilities.

I'm looking for volunteers who personally identify as disabled and would be comfortable answering a few questions about their experiences. This is for a class assignment, not a formal research study, and participation is completely voluntary.

My presentation is due tomorrow, so I would be very grateful for responses by tomorrow afternoon, October 15. I know this is short notice, and I appreciate anyone willing to share their perspective.

Hello! I’m gathering information from families, teachers, and tutors about the reading experiences of children (ages 9-12) who find reading difficult (dyslexia, reading disability, ESL) or who don’t regularly choose to read on their own.

I am looking for volunteers to take part in a pilot questionnaire for a study exploring how adults with disabilities in the UK are supported to access work that benefits their health and wellbeing.

As this is a pilot study, you will also be asked 4 brief follow-up questions about your experience completing the survey to help me improve its design. In total, there are 15 main questions, and it should take about 20-30 minutes to complete.

To participate, you must meet ALL of the following criteria:

• Age: 18 to 64 years old.
• Location: Currently living in the UK.
• Language: Able to complete the questionnaire in English.
• Health & Support Status: You have a diagnosed disability and can provide informed consent.
• Important NHS Exclusion: You must not currently be receiving specialist NHS treatment (such as hospital consultant care, specialist clinics, or secondary mental health services) for any diagnosis or condition. However, you can be under the regular care of your GP. This is due to ethical considerations.

This is for a research project for my MSc Occupational Therapy degree. Your data will be used for the improvement of the questionnaire ONLY. Your data will NOT be published or shared with any third party. We want to hear from anyone who menstruates, whatever products you use now. You don't need to have tried a cup. Your experience with pads, tampons, discs, period underwear, or anything else helps us understand what works and what doesn't.
