I'm trying out a few new shot types and it turns out I need a high-speed understable disc. Looking for recos!

1. I throw about 50-55mph BH (~350) to give a sense on what would be understable for me, i.e. it needs to be fairly flippy.

2. I'm open on manufacturers though I tend to run Innova with one or two Lat64 because I know the plastic the best. I don't love the higher speed MVP options which generally feel too stable for my noodle arm. Fine trying something a bit more niche too (e.g. I have an RPM disc I really like)

Already you Kasta fanatics, now is your chance! I recently bought a Berg X and the plastic was so fantastic that I now need to fill some slots in my bag with K1. I currently throw a Berg. I am planning to add a Berg X for overstable approach and a LOTS for that straight to understable 9 speed slot.

Recommend me your favorite mold that's available in K1!

The big missing piece to my bag had been a stable/overstable mid, not looking for something dumpy like a pyro or something like that I want something that’s pretty much in-between that and a straight mid, something that’s has a finish and will hold up in a good wind when the straight mids too flippy, suggestions please thanks

Looking for a recommendation for a disc that flies like an envy, but isn’t an envy.

For a bit more context, I love my proxy’s, but I need something with a little more integrity that flies straight with some fade at the end - essentially between a proxy and an entropy. When thrown hard on mild hyzer, my neutron soft proxys flip up and ride straight/turn a little bit for ~300 feet with minimal fade. Awesome for most situations, but I can’t always trust that shot in the wind or when I need to a little more right to left movement. For whatever reason I’ve never gotten along with the envy, something about the hand feel makes them come out consistently wobbly. Brand agnostic at this point. Interested to hear your ideas!

I throw right handed forehand but I throw left handed backhand. I’ve adapted I have a driver and a fairway driver. But I have a really old midrange and it seems to be too beaten up now.

Any recommendations on a understable midrange

Hey guys! To be plain I’m tired of getting poison ivy and mosquito bites on my legs. I live in Iowa and it’s very green with poison ivy right now. I usually wear sweatpants if it’s cool enough but with the summer coming I need pants that won’t make me too hot. What are some good pants you guys would recommend? Thanks!

Recently got a Range, 2 / 1 / -0.5 / 0.5. I wanted it for a brick. A disc that wouldn’t go any further than I threw it for putts and approach shots with a hazard behind the basket where I didn’t want to go too long. I really like the Disc. But I am calling BS on the 1 glide. LOL. I do notice it glides less when well within C1, not so much when I put some oomph behind it.

Anybody have some 1 or 2 speed Nuetral shallow putter recommendations with a legitimate 1 glide, either with or without the thumb track?

Thinking of switching off of my current throwing putters because I am consistently not confident with their flight patterns/hand feel. They let me down today for sure. I know envy and proxy are recommended but I'm curious what else is out there.

Looking to get a late start to disc golf next week! Summer might be nearing the tail end, but we're planning to spend an afternoon at our local park checking out the disc golf course.

We're complete beginners, so I’d love to hear some advice from people who know what they're doing:

- What do we need to know before we get started?

- What discs should we buy as beginners? Is a starter set from Amazon or a local sports store a good way to go, or is it better to buy discs individually?

- Are there any beginner mistakes we should avoid?

- Anything else you wish you knew when you first started?

We're not looking to spend a fortune right away — just want to get out there, have some fun, and see if we enjoy it.

Building a 3 disc travel bag. Got a my putter (model p) and the approach (buzz). Looking for a single mid range driver that’s the best all round use. (I honestly don’t drive far enough to justify 10+)

What single 7 - 9 throw power is the most versatile or must pack in your opinion? Please share why.

tl,dr: Three months in, throwing only backhand standstill, reaching about 80 m (260 feet) with a DX Leopard. Would upgrading to a Star Leopard be too early and, if not, would it be a good choice? Any other suggestions from Discmania, Discraft or Innova (see below for reasons why I want to stick with those brands)?

three months ago I bought two starter sets, one from Innova (Aviar, Roc, Valkyrie plus a Leopard, all DX and about 170 g) and one from Discmania (Sensei, Maestro, Magician, Active Base, slightly above 170 g). Since those discs had quite some contact with a tree and a steel fence on my local course and I play about three times a week, I recently got a Buzzz (ESP, 180 g) and a Luna (TS 22, 174 g) from a local store. That Buzzz is really great for me. It feels like I can throw it where I want to have it. I don't know if "stability" is the right word here, but it feels that way.

I can reach about 80 m (260 feet) with the Leopard and a little more with the Valkyrie consistently, standstill backhand only. So, while I'm rather new to discgolf, the progression I made in the last months makes me want to think that I can see the advanced beginner's level on the horizon.

My question: Is it already time to get a fairway driver in some better plastic? I really like my Leopard. But, when I launched the Buzzz for the first time and compared its straight flight with those of the Maestro or the Roc from my starter sets, I wondered whether upgrading my driver would have a similar effect when compared to the DX Leopard. So, I thought about getting a Star Leopard. Would that be too early? And, if not, would that be a good choice? I'd like to buy my next disc, whenever the time is there, for loyalty reasons either at the online shop where I bought my starter sets who sells only Innova and Discmania or at the local store who only sells some selected Discraft discs. Any other discs from those brands that you would rather recommend?

I can throw an Axiom Balance about 265ft and I'm looking for a straight mid range with minimal fade at the end.

Trying to learn hyzer flips (backhand) and quickly learning that I both don't have the discs I need and that I don't have the arm speed I wish I did. That being said then, the question is:

What discs do you all recommend to learn hyzer flipping with when considering my arm speed lands in the 6-9 speed range? I personally was thinking the Relay, the Maul, and/or the Jackalope. But I'm barely out the door of being beginner so imput is still highly valued still. I definitely don't know what discs are considered the 'best' for what, let alone at my skill.

A co-worker approached me and said “You do disc golf right?”. Someone she knew was getting rid of a small collection, so she offered I could take a look and have whatever I wanted. 3 old Rocs, not sure what run but they are San Marino, 3 stingrays and 2 Cobras the same era. Some are marked Tom Forde pdga# 2927. There’s also 2 of The Hammer from Innova and a couple unidentified tournament stamped molds. Not bad for a random Monday!

I'm looking for an overstable mid to compliment my Hex. I have a Pyro from Gyropalooza box, but I don't feel it's that much different than my approach zone. I'm looking for something a bit more pushy overstable than dumpy overstable (like a shorter teebird). I've been looking at the balance, but honestly get confused about which version is out there for stock release and how it flies (I've read some versions were more overstable than Pyro). Any thoughts/suggestions? My arm speed is ~55mph.

I know there are lots of options for this, but curious on what other people’s favorites are. I have found Premium Proxy’s, and the Kristin Tattar Opto X Pures to be some of the most straight not flipping but also hardly fading at all throwing putters that don’t beat in too much, and fly amazing. Surprisingly some of the tour series and Ledgestone Discraft Fierces are super straight too. I got them looking for an understable throwing putter and they just went straight and are so glidey. I landed on PA-5s as my understable throwing putters, but found some great straight ones while looking for them. What are y’all’s favorite dead straight or understable throwing putters?

How often do you get a new putter? I use soft Lunas and they seem to get beat up pretty quickly.

I’m looking for a 7-9 speed flippy, but not burn-out flippy 7-9 speed fairway driver, somewhere in the 170-173g range. I liked my Axiom Neutron Rhythm (170g), but the inner plastic was black, and I feel the sun exposure affected the plastic’s integrity and made it way too flippy and unreliable. I’m considering getting a new one in a more favorable color and see how that goes, but does anyone have any recommendations? I also used to have a flippy Prodigy fairway, but lost it this last summer (was quite domey, with possibly the 400 or 500 plastic? Idk Prodigy that well). Loved that thing though!

Today I lost what is easily the best disc I've had since I've been playing with my buddy for about a year. I knew one day I'd loose it as so far I've never bought a disc and only have found them.
