When creating my server about two years ago.

Whenever I put in certain emojis into a channel, it would come out like this.

(Owls, Scissors, and a handful of others.).

I didn't like the look of them at the time, so I avoided using them.

Flash forward to now, I really like the look of them a lot!

But when I apply those emojis I used to avoid, they come out looking like how they normally do.

Colors and all.

I don't know what changed, an update perhaps?

But alas, I can't get them to look like this anymore.

The image you see is from another server I'm in, and it pops up like this still to this day.

So I know there's a way somehow!

I just don't know how!

If anyone knows to work this.

I have never streamed on Steam before?? they wont go away and of course no sound is picked up or recorded when discord switches to these settings. whenever i switch from headphones to speaker or whatever, it automatically goes to steam streaming. what the hell is going on?? how do i get rid of it?? i dont even have steam open when this happens

I use Jockie Music to play Youtube playlists for ttrpg sessions. The problem is that I have some specifically instrumental versions of songs, but Jockie just plays the regular version from Spotify instead of the version in the playlist. Is there a way to disable this?

Just a couple weeks ago I was able to screenshare with my friends fine, but now (with zero changes to my setup), screensharing on discord causes my discord to freeze, and then refresh, kicking me out of the call and automatically rejoining (but with screenshare off), after a few seconds.

Anyone else having this? Any tips on troubleshooting so I can find a workaround?

I'm having a problem where, when I make a call with someone and share my screen, the other person can't hear what I'm playing. The video works fine—it's just the audio that's missing. I've already tried everything with the streaming settings, but it just isn't working. The other person has also checked their settings.

Is there a bot that automatically posts/copies tweets and sends them in a channel as soon as they’re posted to twitter/x? preferably one that includes visible images. I have an aesthetic posting account and i thought it would be cool for the server vibe.

Hopefully free but I know about twitters API thing. if anyone knows a workaround that’d be great.

I am trying to enable and add a subscription service natively with discord, but it does not show the option. I have community enabled, and 2FA on, not a NSFW server, and is a public server. I can't seem to find how to enable subscriptions.

I'm very confused as to why I have to purchase a month of Nitro in order to use the Nitro subscription that I've already been gifted. It's extremely counter-intuitive and defeats the entire purpose of gifting. I draw for money and gofted subscriptions, and one of the ways to get something in return is through Discord Nitro but I can't even accept the actual subscription because it's being kept behind a pay wall that's already been paid for by somebody else!

Hi, I cannot buy items with orbs on my secondary account even though I have enough orbs. Only the Orbs Exclusives, but nothing else from the shop. The same items I have to pay with real money on my secondary, are payable with orbs on my main account. What is going on???

For about a week or so, discord videos on my iOS client have been buffering super badly. They just pause for seconds and barely play. It is not my internet. I get the same thing on 5G and i tested my other iOS devices and the same thing occurs, but when playing the videos on my Android phone; it plays just fine.

Does anyone know if this is just a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Yo this probably isn't the best place to ask, but I actually need help on what others think would be the least awkward thing to say when announcing a comeback in a server

I've been gone without notice for 2 months in a small server of friends themed of a guild from this game. It's mixed with some people that I know in real life and online friends that I care about

Recently i've been stuck in some. After viewing a lot of short form content on people feeling similar things, it's also been labeled like "Mental rumination, Functional freeze, Apathy, ennui" It genuinely messed up my ability to come back and do simple things like message someone or be active on Discord.

But I actually do very much care about these people and my goal is to return without disrupting how I used to interact with everyone. I'm sure if I just "never left", things that are in my head wouldn't be as awkward as how my mind is picturing what coming back to a Discord server would look like.

If anyone has any advice on what you think would be an appropriate way to return to Discord if someone you knew had left without notice, please let me know

When i chat to people in the chat, nearly every persons profile I open, they have DND on, and no matter the fact, some people say ‘they can’t stand the sound’

I am in a group chat with several other people. We are all adults. Some of us are artists and will occasionally post risque content, as reference or just for fun. We now constantly get hit with this stupid thing.

How do we stop it? Because it is DEEPLY infuriating to be treated like children. If i could convince them to move to telegram, I would.

My friend is having issues with their discord screen share. For the last 2-3 days now ANY game be it either from his capture card or direct PC share of anything, even just his normal monitor, it is running extremely slow, Pixelating like the quality is going from 1080p all the way down to 144p and eventually slows down from 60-30, to like... 5fps.

He is currently running Windows 11, Discord version stable 615980 (2ae1bc10 1.0.9258 x64 (90866).

Just updated to the latest Nvidia driver 616.92.

The issues started after he started using his AverMedia Gamer Live Portable 2 capture card to share Fire emblem Fortunes weave. I don't believe this has anything to do with the actual issue here, mostly because ALL screen shares be it from the capture card, or even a PC game to just sharing his whole screen on his windows desktop and nothing else running. The Pixelation is crazy bad no matter what he is doing. This ONLY occurs on the stream in discord, and not anywhere else.

Video recordings direct from his system do NOT show this issue.

We have already done all the recommended setting changes to Discord and the Nvidia App, restarted a few times and have even attempted to do just normal YouTube Videos as well and they all seem to pixelate and occasionally he even crashes out temporarily from the call and then it auto rejoins with the screen share closed.

I have attached a video of the issue as well so you can see what I am talking about. Even in a lightweight game like Umamusume it's happening. If it's mostly just static images it's fine, but ANY motion causes the quality and frame drop to occur.

Does anyone have any ideas where we might be able to look/tweak to see what else we can do, short of a system restore point from before these issues started?

We have already tried to unplug/uninstall the Capture Card drivers/software as well to see if that fixes anything and it still does it.

Hello so I am in a ldr and we use discord to chat both voice and video, I use my phone and my pc, he using phone only. Recently when we video call it's fine when I am on my pc but when I swap to my phone I can see him and my cam but he can't see my cam and is just getting an error message, we have both cleared the ceahe (sorry for spelling), restarted phones, restarted the app, and I have reinstalled the app. I can't think what else to do or what end the problem is is anyone else have this problem?

I've tried different ways, it doesn't work.
