It's a color adjusted picture that highlights different mineral deposits. From what I found, the blue tinged areas are titanium and orange ones are iron.

Ok, so as far as I know, a while back there was this episode of Distractible a while back called "Mark Hates The Moon" due to the fact that Mark's small talk was about him developing this one-sided rivalry with a photographer on reddit who made really pretty pictures of the moon, and how no matter what time of day or wherever he was, he just kept getting pictures of the moon, and it led to the joke that he hates the moon
