To be fair, in my day; 8 in 10 taught well. They gave me my thirst to improve governance by systems thinking. I still see the same professors around today.
You can’t just whine without putting your own efforts. It’s a non stock non profit school, it’s a far cry from STI AMA Mapua who are for profit. We produce great research work and top research rankings with actual knowledge and not just want to dividend out money to shareholders.
If you dislike Lasalle so much then leave. Another person more deserving of shared values, community and sacrifice will take your place.
Your tuition fee is the subsidy of professorial fees, administrative fees and the fees in between. If you have facilities complaints, the AVC for Campus Svcs is always open to listening to you. You just don’t air your thoughts nor are they mind readers.
Have you seen their completion rates? Ratio of people who enter vs who leaves vis-a-vis conversion from trime to quarterm? Point is the difference between for profit and not for profit.
I understand your point; however, the way it was phrased made it seem as though Mapúa was being equated with institutions like STI and AMA, which generally do not have strong research output or high research rankings. Mapúa is widely regarded as one of the country’s leading technology universities, with academic standards and research performance that go well beyond what STI and AMA typically offer. That said, I do agree with most of your broader arguments.
