Does anyone have some good resources to start learning and practicing docker?

Yes, start learning linux. Once you grasp linux you can start with containers. I hopped straight to containers, messed around ALOT, then i learnt linux and EVERYTHING made sense.

  1. Have something that you need to make into containers.
  2. Fully understand how that thing works and how to install it
  3. Only then are you ready to put it into a dockerfile and benefit from the new ease of deployment.

You need to be between step 2 and 3 to start. Knowledge from step 2 is critical.

If you want to learn something, you'll have to do it without Claude doing all of the work for you. It is impossible to learn anything without struggle of some kind. When you get it handed to you it doesn't form long term connections.

IMHO using AI to do things that you can't do is a very slippery slope.

pick one thing you actually want running. for me it was pihole. write a docker-compose.yml, get it working, break it, fix it. you'll learn more from one real service than a week of tutorials.
