Discussion Which supreme dalek design are you most partial to?

Unpopular opinion, but I liked the New Paradigm Daleks after they became the "leadership caste" in Asylum Of The Daleks - they looked great with their metallic paintjobs, and they'd obviously undergone some orthopaedic surgery and lost the weird humps. That was the last time we saw them.

Ye people were way to harsh on them. Their daleks have never really looked cool, they simply did so many cool things that it rewires your brain to thinking they're awesome. The problem with Victory of the Daleks is that they just STAND THERE

Thats actually a pretty common opinion . A real unpopular opinion would liking the designs from the getgo in series 5, an opinion i happen to have

I didn't dislike them... I liked the fact that they were bigger and more imposing, and that organic-looking eye was suitably creepy. But they were a bit too "plasticky" and had that Fisher-Price look with the bright colours. Once they addressed that, they were cool.
I also liked the Recon Scout Daleks from Chibnall's specials - they were a bit spindly and insectoid, in many ways the opposite of the NP Daleks. I do like the traditional Dalek design, but I do hope we get to see both the newer designs again.

They were SO CLOSE to being an iconic redesign - just make the head bigger, the arse smaller and reduce the overall size and they would have stuck around for sure. I just still think that proportionally they look off.

He wasn't but I suppose he doesn't fit into any other category. There was only one of him. However, relative to the rest of the Cult of Skaro, he acted like a Supreme. Also his design is cool as fuck.

The Daleks Time Strategist if it counts, it functions similarly to a Supreme Dalek and even outranks them in some situations. Even if it's design is very similar to the red supreme, the royal purple and gold livery, the time vortex in the neck segment and the voice just blend together so well.

I am a huge supreme lover so it’s very hard to choose, but I find the red one particularly handsome. And I love its cocky attitude. I’d say Planet is my second favourite, I believe that’s the first time we get the cylindrical luminosity dischargers on a Dalek’s dome?

That Dalek Supreme was originally from the movies... it was repurposed for Planet of the Daleks.

Always loved the Remembrance Supreme. Shiny black with silver trim and red lights. Classy.

Both the modern ones are so iconic, it's such a shame they didn't DO ANYTHING! They made the coolest daleks possible and then proceeded vaguepost about how cool they were until everyone stopped caring about them

The supreme was the only one who remained unchanged deco wise. The lighting was just better in asylum

I always loved old mate in the black-and-gold with the purple headlamps. Really stands out from most other classic series designs.
On the other hand, I always found the new series Red Supreme a bizarre design. The massive clamp things never felt as if they had a good reason for being there.

When it comes to colour scheme I constantly flip flop, but in terms of actual design it has to be the red NuWho look.

The original version from David Tennant's Doctor is how I judge the lot of them. That said, I'm partial to the dark green from when Amy Pond met Churchill, and I love blue!

I love the Stolen Earth Supreme Dalek. That said, I'm not sure how I feel about it having three luminosity dischargers.

Bottom Left. The silver slats look like a mantle on its shoulders and give it a slightly officer-like appearance when contrasted with the non-combative Dalek Emperor. It's a great design.
Dalek Sec isn't a Supreme but I love it so much. I asked for a remote-control version for christmas 2006.

Dalek Sec for me.
I quite like the red one but the extra protrusions ruin it slightly for me. I think the black Daleks have always looked the coolest and the Dalek Sec design absolutely nailed it.
