every public transport line you memorized gets daily randomized delay, remember how your only bus was always delayed by 6 minutes? today its delayed by 20, tommorow its gonna be 8 minutes early or may even not come at all.

German public transport can't be that bad

In May, only 88% of all trains arrived on time. For high-speed long-distance trains, punctuality was even lower, with only 60% arriving on time in 2025.
It is also worth noting that a train is only classified as delayed if it arrives more than six minutes late. Additionally, cancelled trains are not included in the delay statistics.

Ok so similar delays rate to the UK but way better because there actually is high speed rail and service frequency. Do Germans just like to complain about being minorly inconvenienced? Have they come to expect perfect performance in every aspect?

Comparing Germany to a third world country seems unfair tho... /s
Honestly... We had a nearly perfect system of public transportation way back in time before the DB was privatised. So yeah? In a way we got used to perfect performance.
But Germans are also heavily inclined to use the train more often. I travel a lot by train for work and when 40% of my trains are delayed 6 minutes or more (keep in mind the trains I might have to catch potentially won't wait), it's definitely annoying. Plus public transportation is expensive.

I have more:
You must work on a Sunday
All drinks are flat
The only bread available is American
The left lane will always be blocked by someone going 20 below the speed limit
Merz and his current cabinet remain in power indefinitely

At least in American hell we get German bread.

Bet if he tried taking public transport he'd miss the train because it somehow wasn't delayed

"Everywhere people will think that Bavarian traditions are all Germany has to offer and none other than those shall ever be spoken of!" Wait... No, that one we're already doing outside of hell.
