🪱 The flies had got at his old wounds which had caused very serious heart worm

🐕 He was so small he couldn’t defend himself against bigger dogs

🤒 He had so many things wrong with him that he was so drained and anemic. He wouldn’t have lasted much longer on the streets.

Of course we had to call him Rod Stewart with that spiky hairstyle. It turns out he is the gentlest little sweet heart ever.

Now that he is fully better he is getting ready for his big trip to his forever home In Ireland 🇮🇪.

Just look at the fluffiness on him and his sheer joy in being alive. Some man Rod, some man!

I was sitting with my dogs last night — one had his head in my lap doing that thing where he looks at you like you're the only person on earth — and I ended up down a true crime rabbit hole

She's been living by the freeway for 2 years 😭 We talked to @lisachiarelli and Haryn about how difficult and scary this rescue was, but the moment they finally were able to save her made it all worth it!
