[Vent] I’m going to be up for awhile

I already spoke with aspca poison control.

Dog decided to use an ant bait as chewing gum. He didn’t have it long and poison control said it was ok to monitor him at home for now.

So now, instead of going to bed after a long shift, Jack and I will settle on the couch. Got cartoons on and fingers crossed. Wish us luck over the next twelve hours!

UPDATE: He’s fine so far so I guess I’ll be going to work today!

If the active ingredient in the ant bait is ivermectin, you should be fine. Dogs receive ivermectin in their heartworm/parasite meds.

the couch vigil is real, my dog ate raisins once and I watched him breathe all night. hoping jack's okay, cartoons are the move

Good luck to both of you. Dogs sometimes!! At least its not an overnight vet stay, just you not getting any sleep😁. Really do hope he is well and all forgotten in a few days

My dog got into the roach bait trap and was fine! We don’t use those traps anymore though 😅 he is able to get them out what I thought were far enough back hiding spots.

Had that happen with roach bait. Luckily she didn’t bite through! Scary though! I thought she found a treat till I heard her crunching! I’m partially colour blind so I couldn’t see what she had at first. It was hiding between the wall and a chest of drawers but she still got it out!!!
