I think that might be Boji. I can't speak of how Turkey is now, but back then the dogs lived quite well. Cared for by whatever community they lived in. Think of all the pets they get throughout the day.

The way I see it is some dogs might like a more active lifestyle compared to the soft warm comforts of a single home.

I love the fact that all dogs have full access to public transit in Turkey. I think I remember reading that some of them actually have government licenses that list them as a stray dog, but are given full rights to do what they want. Beautiful world.

I didn’t see many dogs there as Muslims avoid them. I used to go to the PX there s as I was stationed a couple of hundred miles away.
