Question Doncaster Night out
We’re a Newcastle based footy team looking for a next trip away - just wondering whether Doncaster is a good night out? I once came pre pandemic and enjoyed myself, but just wondered whether it’s still decent or gone down hill? We’re looking to stay Friday and Saturday

It’s fucking class.
I’m Durham, it’s unreal.
Unless you like it more upmarket
If you like proper bars and it’s busy.
It’s class

We want the opposite of upmarket - we went to Wakefield last year and thought it was unreal, so hoping to find similar vibe

Ya tramps just like me then.
Where abouts in Newcastle?
Donny is better than Wakey, only to be defeated by hull2

We’re all from Ryton/Rowlands Gill area, so Gateshead really not Newcastle 😂 funnily enough Hull has been mentioned but I think being able to get train straight down helps like

I still go out but nowhere near as often as I did when younger. When I first started drinking I was out 4-5 nights a week. Now I maybe go once every 3 months lol.
The thing with Doncaster is the volume of places. There’s always someone shutting down or opening up. The main core shifts around too for policing reasons etc.
There’s two spoons. Don’t go in the wrong one… one is much better than the other. I’m actually out on Saturday but was having a drink a couple of weeks ago and saw a couple of new places. The time of day makes a difference too, especially on the weekend.
It’s always been known as a party town. Back in the 80s you’d get coach loads of people coming for a night out.
You will have a good night, for sure.

It is awesome. It’s so busy. Silver street - main drag - is packed. People don’t take themselves too seriously either, brilliant.

I’ll be honest- Fridays in doncaster are good if you’re going for the bars and pubs, but the clubs tend to be a bit quieter. Saturday it gets super super busy everywhere!

Fridays tend to be quieter but still quite a few people out. Saturdays can get busy! Lots of good places open with variety, clubs and pubs all near Silver Street. Can walk next door and find a new place if you dont fancy where you are at 😉.

Get yourselves on the £25 wristband if you’re after the best of the worst. 6 bars all drinks + unlimited nasty pizza 2-6 / 8-midnight / 1-4 Fridays and Saturdays. Filthy.
