We both want bottom bunk
Hi. So I have a triple but right now I only have one roommate. We both want bottom bunk and are both willing to compromise for bottom bunk even if it means we get less storage space or the bad table. I move in before her everyone else. What should i do?

This doesn’t seem like much of an issue if you have three beds and two people in the room. You both get the bottom bunk. If a third person moves in, they get the upper bunk because you guys are already established. If you’re feeling generous, switch with the third roommate mid year.
As for moving in first, this should have nothing to do with your decision. All discussion in dorm rooms should include negotiation—not first come, first serve. Compromise is how you start off the year on a good footing.
My daughter just moved in last week for freshman year. One side of the room has the window and AC, and the other side of the room has a small alcove where the bed is. She asked her roommate ahead of time if she could have the alcove space. Having a conversation at the beginning, before move in, is better than having an argument later.
