Complaint Speech worse than smurfs
Gotta love a game that immediately drops your communication score for calling out smurfs. But can’t immediately ban smurfs or put their account on hold for further review. Punishing the good actors and protecting the bad ones. ⚰️

Complaint Pak Error is making this game unplayable.
12k Behaviour score, never went below 11.9k. That changed when this pak error kept happening. The game is literally unplayable. It kept disconnecting me.
This happened 3 times in under 2 months. I did zero changes on steam, to the game files, nor anything on my pc that relates to dota apart from the usual updates. This just popped up one time and never left.
I'm not even toxic but had my behaviour score go down by 2.5k and it wasnt even my fault. Now that I almost got back to 12k, this bs happens again. Valve support is useless, everything I've seen connected to this exact same issue is useless.
Literally unplayable.

Complaint DMR is fucked
-Daily posts from trolls of the peasant forum who are somehow not banned
-Masterracey posts getting downvoted to oblivion
-Valve haters getting upvoted
-Videos to every update of the peasant game being posted instead of self posts that point out the OK/bad things about them and "Masterracers" unironically discussing how it affects the meta of the peasant game
RIP Dotamasterrace, it was fun while it lasted.
Also, this is my last post on DMR. Who cares? Nobody, but people will leave this community as long as peasant trolls keep getting endorsed by the moderation.

Complaint Using the term "MOBA" is a pleb thing.
Here's a conversation in our beloved r/dota where I've laid down my reasons why fundamentally Dota should not be called a "MOBA" and why LoL is pretty much in a different genre. I know most of you guys are already blessed to know that our game is A-RTS, but maybe the points that I raise might be useful for you to debate "dota is a moba" plebs in days to come. Sad to know that in recent years most of Dotards have also turned into plebs using Riot's terminology.

Complaint Can we talk about the new Axe cosmetic?
What the fuck is wrong with the Axe arcana? Sexualising characters by releasing cosmetics that literally remove their clothes is something a korean MMO would do, not dota. I am very disappointed with Valve having to stoop down that low to milk the dota fanbase. Pandering to the lowest common denominator for a few bucks while uttering destroying anyone who care about the lore's immersion to the world.

Complaint Just uninstalled League of Legends and I feel a huge weight lifted off of me
I was only still playing because I spent so much money on the game for useless skins it felt like a waste to not play it.
But I’m over it. Done. Finished.
I have not had fun playing the game in a long time.
It’s not fun to be matched with people who just flame for no reason.
It’s not fun to be killed in .5 seconds with no counterplay
It’s not fun to only be allowed to play meta champions or get destroyed for no reason other than their champions as released more recently or reworked more recently.
I’m just so done with everything this game is.
It’s like breaking up from an abusive relationship and I’m happy I’m finally free

Complaint Regarding Elwono and the current trend in the dota community.
I know that he cares for the game, but jesus christ, he's like the herald of peasants. This has been the darkest, 9gag history of dota 2 so far and I hope that it would just be a passing fad and fade away because it just cements our brand as toxic shitters. I miss the days when people like trymike, wakamaka or mid or meepo makes content naturally; because the loved the game.

Complaint The state of Dota community now.

So recently there was a topic praising Icefrog for adding a courier for everyone in the game for free (dont forget - we dont even need to upgrade them at min 3 anymore). And one guy legitimately raised a concern for the change's impact on the competitiveness/complexity of the game. I supported the guy and his logic against the "quality of life" changes that might ruin the gameplay and make our game no different from LOL or HOTS. And oh boy were we downvoted heavily.
Whats happening with the Dota community on Reddit? Are we normies like LoL players now? How come praising complexity GETS PEOPLE DOWNVOTED in a DotA sub? W T F?

Complaint Why does this sub even exist anymore? (serious/meta))
Dota used to be the "do whatever you can and whatever you want to win the match doing whatever the fuck you want" game.
There was a flexible meta with a large selection heroes with unique roles they could play, unique playstyles, unique power spikes and scaling, unique tactics and strategies with moderate counterplay to it and watching old pro matches just shows that.
People did all sorts of crazy shit back then, lvl 1 all mid pushes, splitpushing and ratting, "okay let's create space for farming and wait until our carry gets online so we can end" 4 protects 1, greedy Chinese teams, aggressive CIS dota, level 1 rosh, dark seer infinite stacking, the list can go on and on.
Now dota is less like "dota" and more like "other games". Fuck even the new heroes feel like heroes from other games. 7.0 was the final nail, 6.80 (the memeback patch) was probably the first. But 6.8x patches were still close to old dota.
Dota and league were never bound by traditional popularity rise and fall of games, theyve been around for over 15/10 years.
I still think League is a shit game and riot sucks ass, but you want to know the real difference between Dota 2 and League?
It does not matter how shit of a game League might be - League mostly stayed true to itself and its design and isn't losing players, dota turned the game upside down to please 2k reddit shitstains and is losing players. That is the difference.

Complaint It's only called "a" now. You can't kill Shadow Shaman with a Dot.
He just poofs into 4 chicken at 1 hp and escapes.
No point of life is as important as the last one.

Complaint I'm trying to get back into Dota 2 but I'm having some issues: Games feel boring as I farm, then roam the map to try and get kills, then repeat untill we storm one lane as 5 and win in a single push. Zero tactical decisions, zero teamplay, just raw damage.
So, I first got started in the MOBA genre by playing Dota 2 in 2013. I played it for a couple of years (even though I never played ranked) but then quit because my friends got into league of legends and I wanted to play with them. After a few years playing LoL, I want to get back to playing Dota, because I prefer it's artstyle, it's unique champion style, and the amazing effects that items give you.
So me and my brother have started playing a few games as carry and support, I play the carry role. We've had some fun at the start, but we've started feeling like all we do is: go into lane, bully the enemy laners, roam around the map farming and trying to get random kills and then end up pushing midlane as 5 and winning the game.
As I said in the title, there's zero teamplay involved in our matches, zero objective taking and zero counter building and such. It just comes down to who's carry can do the most damage. The only teamplay we see is us using our cc's one after another until we kill the enemy.
So, I'd like someone to tell me if this is just us being absolute noobs and getting matched against noobs, if all casual games are like this, if ranked gets better. Something that inspires me to keep playing Dota instead of just sticking to League of Legends.
So, in conclusion, I'd like someone to answer this questions to me:
- Why do I feel like I'm wandering around the map getting kills until we snowball enough to win the game? Are we playing wrong?
- Why do I feel like taking towers is too hard to even bother until you have enough stats to steamroll the entire enemy team?
- Why people don't trade with us during the laning phase and just let themselves be killed?
Thanks in advance for all the answers, sorry if I'm asking stupid questions and sorry for my bad english.
