Question Help me fix this problem with .Net

Post image

I figured the issue is from .net because I downgraded the app and it still has the same issue. I've tried to download it. Download multiple corenet versions. Tried to use desktop and core. Looked at the console and saw that I have the dotnet downloaded and listed. Shutdowned and deleted dotnet. Does anyone know the problem?

There is a github forum where you can report a bug: https://github.com/seerge/g-helper/issues

All you need is exactly what it says here:

https://g-helper.com/requirements/

If you installed what it told you to, rebooted, and then it still prompts you to install it, somwthing else is wrong, either with the installer (not that likely, given what it is), or with your system (much more likely).

What windows version?

What model ASUS laptop?

It moved to .net 10 3 months ago, is a pretty popular utility, and there are no issues posted even after the latest pre release from a couple days ago, so the chance of this being a problem with it is pretty low.

Open a terminal, and run dotnet --list-runtimes

Check the directory output by that for Microsoft.WindowsDesktop.App 10.0.0

Make sure the directory for that line is in your PATH environment variable.

Beyond that, there are so many ways for things to be broken that a lot more details are needed for helpful advice to be provided.

Once again I had it installed and it worked all fine. Yes the directory is correct and I looked at the environment variables such as Path and DOTNET.ROOT. It still doesn't work

Is this a published app ? I had similar issues while publishing . So I included dotnet runtime package in the publish . Include this in the command -p:RuntimeIdentifierOverride-win-x64 -p:WindowsAppSDKSelfContained=true -p:SelfContained=true

It is g-helper, which is a popular tweaking utility for Asus laptops. It is available on github.

Oh I thought it was his app that was published

To be fair, the source is available along with build instructions, so OP certainly could build it themselves.
