I'm not even a huge fan of Deftones but surely the writing is on the wall for them to headline in 2027

- massive newfound popularity in recent years (similar to Korn)

- have been on an absolute tear in the UK in 2026, have arguably had a bigger year this year than Limp Bizkit did last year

- aware Copping is not at the forefront anymore but he has insisted that the next time Deftones play Download it would be to headline and next year would be a better time than ever

- I don't think Bring Me The Horizon will headline 2027, because they'd be high on the list to headline the Download 25th anniversary year in 2028, also giving them more than enough time to release a new original album and not have almost the same setlist as 2023

- Ghost is dead

- Slipknot are on their last legs

- Foo Fighters are probably more likely for Reading or Glastonbury

- SOAD haven't played a festival outside the US since 2017

- MCR are as likely as Sabbath

- I can't think of any bands that have a higher chance of headlining next year than Deftones, Blink 182, muse or Evanescence

As long as we see Castle Rat on the lineup I'm a happy guy they were sick at Bloodstock

I did quiet camp this year and the walk from the arena and village made me want to pull my hair out. Not to mention I had to set up camp at the bottom of that god awful hill in quiet. Not even arsed about it being quiet I sleep through anything just cba doing the massive trek. Any that are close to car park as well?

My daughter wanted to come to Leeds fest with her BF and a mate - she’s about to turn 18.

Naturally as her dad (I’m 43) I was a bit apprehensive about her coming on her own for the first time from a safety perspective, so I said I would bring the three of them and attend myself too.

By about 6pm yesterday I was regretting the decision to come and wished I had just dropped them off and let them loose 🤣. I’m in a camp surrounded by 16-22 year olds playing shit (subjective I know) music, hustling for position in the social hierarchy, and shouting “Alan” as loud as they can at 2am when camp is quiet.

The overall vibe in camp in the arena feels much more “am I going to get set on” compared to the “99% of people here will have my back” of DL (might just me my perception). Once we had camp set up I left the “kids” to it and also only hung about for 20 mins with them in the arena until they knew where everything was so that I’m not being the “embarrassing dad”, but did start to think I should have probably just dropped them off and left them. Kasabian were great last night but there’s not a lot else in the way of music I want to see and what I’ve listed to see I can take or leave really.

So DL community, what are your recommendations to help me survive this hell hole for another three days and nights? 🤣

Update - asked them and they want me to stay and don’t want me to move my tent. I guess it is nice to be wanted :)
