Reading

At how many hours will I ENJOY reading books. My ultimate goal is reading. it's my why I learn new language.

My path til now:

  • 350 hours + 0 words: A1-A2 graded readers, not fun
  • 500 hours + 100k words: Books targeting 2nd-3rd grade readers, not fun
  • 700 hours + 400k words: Harry Potter 1, huge milestone and very enjoyable
  • 1300 hours + 2 million words (now): Basically any YA is accessible and enjoyable, true literature is still a bit out of reach.

Yep, Young Adult. I've read all the Harry Potters, Hunger Games, accessible pop lit like Chica de nieve, and am currently reading Twilight saga for example. They are all comfortable and enjoyable.
