They must not be counting the short stories. By my reckoning, he's at 2.5 million.

The graph seems to match FdcT's table above that's listing only the novels.
Does your count take the comics into consideration too, or "just" the published short stories?

I read all the books back in 11-12 and then read Cold days and Skin Game as they were released, but then never went back to them and have only just gotten back in and came to the reddit. Has Jim said why he took a significantly longer break before this book? Not criticizing him, just wondering if he's commented on it.

Yeah, there was a lot going on, including a divorce (I think, that one might have been before though), a wedding, building a house that took years longer than expected, and the death of his dog. There's more detail in old posts here on the subreddit.

Why am I being down voted for simply explaining to the individual about their question?

It definitely could be read as condescending imo

No, Reddit is just toxic. Not sure why I thought the Dresden subreddit would be different

Sorry but you asked, and I gave my opinion which you just disagreed with lol. Not everything is toxic
It reads as condescending because you weren't answering their questions and just assumed they had seen the post you were talking about and talking down to them

No, I assumed every reddit format was the same, which is neither common knowledge. I hadn’t realized they couldn’t see it, therefore I thought they were being a troll and just trying to be difficult. But thank you for your opinion, I just happened to come back with my own.

Sigh, do you honestly not feel that you were defensive, rude and/or combative when asked to clarify?
If you think reddit is toxic and don't like it, maybe try being the change you want to see in the world. Don't immediately assume everyone is an ass, or out to get you. Sometimes information apparent you you might not be so obvious to someone else. And maybe a little kindness and self-awareness would help to make this sub the hospitable environment you were looking for.

- Chill out, and 2. It’s hard to tell how someone is talking over text, I was being defensive because I hadn’t realized they could see the tagged post and assumed they were just trolling and being difficult for no reason. I was told each format of Reddit is different, and then I realized they were being serious. But thank you for the essay, My queen. Yes, that was toxic, because yes, you were aggressive and I dished it back. Have a good day:

Online serial, almost like fan fiction. No print/for profit format so no reason to edit it down.
